Becurse im going to get this very soon!
What modchip do you plan to use with it?

I got a wiikey right here, i could use that or just buy another one

This always seems like a fantastic idea to me - I don't trust my very old clumsy soldering iron - so I have emailed the reseller inquiring as to when they get the wlip (and the wiinja deluxe) in stock.
I'll post on here when I get a reply.

Oh and yes brawl was my initial motivation, however lurking here and a bit elsewhere has shown me the light on modding.

Yeah just have to wait it out. Disappointing they only have one retailer and had so few in stock. Though it's not out of the question that many ordered 1000s of them for resale. I will definitely wait for a clone to come out.

Since this isn't a modchip, it should be legal to sell it within the US right? Another reason to wait on it. Would much rather buy from someone in the states. Looking forward to seeing reviews on it though. Hopefully I'll have my Wii modded before too long. Already been waiting a long time.

I'm not sure they are sold out since I went onto the Disco Azul site a few days before the 21st and it said "Out Of Stock", so is there the outside possibility they haven't got their first batch in yet.

Well, I checked out that site that would tell me what chip I had and it said I probably have the D2B without cut legs. Can I trust that when ordering a Wlip? What would it really effect if I ordered the wrong version of the Wlip?

EDIT: My Wii is a launch console. Does that help anyone confirm my chip version?

There is only 1 Wlip. For d2a/d2b consoles.
That site gives a pretty good estimate. But the only way to be 100% sure is to open up the wii and check it

Okay I got a response from DiscoAzul which may help people:
"Dear James:
Perhaps in this Week. "

Short and to-the-point. I like it.

If its a launch console you are as good as safe.
But ill say open it op and check.
If it has ALL legs then buy the model for Wii without cut legs.
If it miss tree legs then buy the model for Wii whit cut legs.

Since yours is a launch Wii you propperly dont have to worry.
I opened my Wii i got 5 months after launch and there was a D2B whitout cut legs

Sucks for me that shiping is 10$ to Denmark

And whit a Wiinja Deluxe it would cost me about 500DKK to get or 97.26$

Wlip is now in stock at the only reseller.
Says it's out of stock for me... Boo. This is going to be really hard to get. Seeing as I'm paying for it with Gaming Lagoon money, I'll have to request it and hope it's still in stock an hour or two later when they actually get around to ordering it. I might just have to wait until it's available from more resellers.

EDIT: I just created an account and looked back at the Wlip and the price was dropped to 21,51 euro. I wonder how long that'll stay.

Well ive practiced my soldering skills today and i found out that i can solder wires on a very small board whitout ANY problems!

So ill quit this lame Wlip thing and get a Wiikey and solder it with wires

But just before i order i will check my drive once more to see how small the points are compeared to the old board from my VHS player i did the practice on.
