I have a feeling my 3ds is gonna get used WAAAAAAY more when this is released! Looking forward to the Beta!

Looking for his screenshots on the net results in no matches ( http://tineye.com/search/76f922f73498f1c7ef5570e52f3dd51973fd3d7b/ ).
Also noticed right now that he said the 3dsx will not need for original RCT2 assets (OepnRCT2 uses them), his screenshots are 412x480 (real 3DS is 400x240 so screenshot should be 400x480, 412x256 is the size used by real hardware screenshots but 12 pixels are blank, not rendered like his screenshots), also there are no forks of OpenRCT2 regarding a 3DS port.

Also, as i said few posts ago, OpenRCT2 requires original RCT2 binary right now (and this is why i stopped working on a port: https://github.com/OpenRCT2/OpenRCT2/issues/1994 ).

So probably this is a fake who just wanted to spam his site hosting warez contents.
Actually, the extra 12 pixels in the OP's screenshots are due to the extra 12 that only appear when the 3D mode is turned on. The only reason I know this because I create custom 3DS themes, but OP's screenshots are definitely the right size. You can test this yourself by setting the screenshot as a custom theme for the top and bottom screens, and then notice how a little bit on either side is cut off when viewing the home menu's top screen in 2D. Then, when you turn on the 3D effect, you see the whole screenshot and the extra 12 pixels.

Maybe the game needs to run in 3D mode in order to use more of the 3DS's power? I really wouldn't know though.

If it had to run in 3D mode then it would actually have less power to do things because it'd have to render the screen twice.
It's probably fake. But I'll eat my socks if it's not.

I mean, say even if it is real... He probably just had 3D turned on when he took the screenshot. No special reason for it.

Oh, okay. In that case, I don't really see any reason to believe this is fake. Looking at Rinnegatamante's post, the thing he said that got him in trouble was:

"I will probably need to host it on a site like -REMOVED- or something, seeing as RollerCoaster Tycoon is a commercial game."

If he really was new to the site like he said he was, maybe he thought there was some kind of glitch with the link and didn't realise that it was being removed by a moderator. If he wanted to get people to follow the link, he would have just said something like, "Okay guys, it's uploaded HERE, everyone go click on it." Instead of just referencing it as a possibility in a thread reply.

Also, as i said few posts ago, OpenRCT2 requires original RCT2 binary right now (and this is why i stopped working on a port: https://github.com/OpenRCT2/OpenRCT2/issues/1994 ).

But the OP said he remade the game from scratch. Would that still impact on him doing it that way?

He knew full well what he was doing

Hey everyone, I'm back, this is OP. I've made a new account as the other account I created was suspended.

I've always taken it as a compliment when people don't believe what I've created to be real, but I'll alleviate some of your suspicions right now:

"THIS IS FAKE BECAUSE THE SCREENSHOTS ARE THE WRONG SIZE":

Actually, as both teampleb and swaggon have stated, I had the 3D effect enabled whilst capturing the screenshots. The screenshots are genuine. However, it should be stated that RCT23D doesn't actually have any stereoscopic 3D layers.

"THIS IS FAKE BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL ACCOUNT IS SUSPENDED":

This was an unrelated incident in which I referenced a site which is against the rules of the forum. After a moderator removed the post, someone from my household decided to "prank" a few of the tabs I had open on my browser, and I'll leave it at that.

"THIS IS FAKE BECAUSE HE'S ADVERTISING PIRACY":

Again, this was a mistake, and was mostly unrelated to RCT23D. Advertising that site was not my intention, but I see how mentioning it may have led some to believe that that was the case.

"THIS IS FAKE BECAUSE THIS HAS BEEN PROVEN FAKE/THIS SUCKS/REMOVE THIS THREAD":

Don't jump to conclusions, and I'd love to see your proof by the way.

"THIS IS FAKE BECAUSE THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE WITH HOMEBREW":

Actually, it is quite possible; I've recreated the game from scratch using the original graphics from RCT2 and the code from OpenRCT2 as a guide. This is not a port in the traditional style, which is why I called it a port/remake in the original post. Here is a video of it in action:

(And yes, ironically the game currently has a more significant slow down whilst paused compared to when it is unpaused, I'll need to fix that).

I realise that there's a lot of accusations and doubt at the moment, but a BETA release is imminent so just hold on a bit.

Suddenly hype again!
