second SD card with a JPN emunand set up....or if he is keeping his sysnand on japanese, he could probably import his ticket.db file into sysnand so they are playable in sysnand, but not in emunand

Ah well, I'll just have to buy the cart instead. E.X. Troopers is on sale for 1500 yen ($12-ish), but I'd rather be able to play it in the long run is all haha.

But then, just to make sure, I'd still be able to play JPN carts on region changed US firmware? I mean, it's not like that was KARL's original goal or anything...

should be fine they are adding region free, although there is some troublesome games iirc....but most should work no problem

I have also personally tested that new homebrew. I restored a 4.3 backup and then updated to 9.2 direct to sysnand using CIAs built from UpdateCDN. I of coarse excluded the TWL_FIRM and DS Cart White list CIAs. Then ran his homebrew that calls fourth the magical AM:InstallFirm service and it doesn't brick after reboot.

We're in the middle of a lot of backend work and cleanup right now. Making stuff a lot more robust and making the to-do list for release a lot easier to stay on top of.

I mean, ideally the finished app would just install a folder full of CIAs, and then run AM:InstallFIRM on all FIRM titles after that's done. That's how I'd do it, at least.
