It's too bad Shigure's hair doesn't change color :(. Nonetheless, I wanted to mention that I was able to recruit Shigure, and he recognizes Sakura as his mother and the avatar as his father. So child randomization seems to work fine.
Does this affect support conversations at all?

I might add in something to generate parent/child support dialogue from a template in the future. As long as everything else works fine, that is the only thing left to do with child randomization.

Shigure has no conversation with Sakura since there is no dialogue for Sakura as his mother. The conversation with the avatar is the normal one.
But do they still get support points regardless of the conversations?

I'm trying the randomizer and it seems to work nicely so far (I'm still at chapter 5 (Almost impossible with the shitty units I have lol)), I've only noticed two errors:

In this specific conversation, Ike (replacing Leo), had this weird animation. It stopped when Camilla and Elise appeared (being the normal Randomized Ike)

The "No" text is missing. Not only there, but in all decissions (saving, loading, etc...)

And as a side note, I don't know if this was mentioned before, but to use the randomizer with an European game, you have to rename all @U folders as @E (and rename them as @U when the randomizing is done).

That's all, keep the hard work!

I'm glad that the randomizer has been relatively stable for you so far!

The issue with Leo's model is a known issue - that particular model is a special case (believe it or not, Leo actually has a special inside-out collar model for that specific scene). I'm still working on getting it to swap properly.

I ran into the issue with yes/no menus at one point during the testing, but it only occurred in rare circumstances. I'm looking into a fix for it, but I haven't found the source of the issue yet.

Also, I'm not familiar with the file structure for the European version. Is renaming the folders from @E -> @E the only difference between the European version and US Version? If so, I could probably implement support for the European file structure like I did for the Japanese version.

So for some reason, the latest release of the randomizer doesn't seem to recognize the presence of C028.cmb in the C folder, despite that file being there and decompressed?
Can't really wrap my head around what the issue could be, since I just used a fresh dump of my romfs after my previous dump refused to work with this either.
For reference, I use the US Special Edition, which worked with previous versions of the randomizer.

To be honest, it doesn't look like file verification is the issue since the progress bar is full and the file's clearly under the right path.

Is your version of Java up to date? The GUI for the most recent version uses elements from more recent versions of Java, so if you're on a lower version that could lead to issues with loading the options window.

Also, I'll go ahead and update the main post with a version which changes the text at the end to say that verification is done. If you want to make sure that it's getting through the error occurs after verification, you can try running that version.

I think so? So far I haven't had any problems with the text (except for the 'No'), all names, portraits and voices are replaced correctly.

I'm kind of slow, so what does it mean to have more passes for randomized stats? What;s the difference between inputting 1 or 100 :wtf:
Previously, all the randomizer did for stat randomization was take the previous stat values and shuffle them to different stats. Now, the randomizer will perform the original stat randomization and then subtract one point from a random stat and add a point to a different stat for each pass. So doing 100 passes can lead to more random stat distributions.

First of all thank you for releasing this mod, i've been waiting for a Fates randomizer for a while. I'm using the Fates Randomizer Beta 4 on the Conquest path with my SE cart and it's been working great so far, but i encountered the following issues:
  • In chapter 8 the enemy lancers don't move to visit the villages.
  • In chapter 9 the game crashes after talking to Nyx's replacement. Deleting the suggested files allows me to recruit Nyx but not the replacement.
  • In chapter 2 with no join order randomization, Gunter and Felicia have randomized classes but no weapon and skills changes. I tried randomizing again with clean files and i still got the same problem.
Again, thanks for releasing this mod i've been looking for an excuse to replay Fates.

I ran into the issue with yes/no menus at one point during the testing, but it only occurred in rare circumstances. I'm looking into a fix for it, but I haven't found the source of the issue yet.

Mine is doing that, too, but it's for every instance of 'No', even in the main menus and saving/loading.

The new release has been rather stable for me, with 2 exceptions- talking to the Nyx replacement, as well as talking to the allied lancers in Conquest chapter 16. In both cases, the game crashes right after the conversations.

Since this is a very powerful tool, could it be used without being... well, random? So you could replaces characters/classes/growths by your choice?

so I am new to the fire emblem series (so far liking awakening but I was stupid to put it on hard :() but how does a fire emblem randomizer work like how is it randomized

Nightmare already does that.
Does it do it to the extent that this tool does though? Major stuff like replacing entire characters so they show up in cutscenes instead of the original character (including names in the text), to minor things like giving the Songstress class a non-unit specific map sprite.
