Gaming Windows won't detect my Micro SDHC card

I just got a 4GB Kingston Micro SDHC card (with an adapter) today from Newegg (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820134527), but my computer won't detect it. I tried both of the adapters that I have, it didn't work in either. However, I tried my 1GB in the new adapter, and it worked. And the 4GB works in my CycloDS, just not on my computer running Windows XP. Anybody have any insight as to why this might be happening?

Yes, your SD card reader in your computer isn't SDHC compatible. An adapter won't change anything.

Seriously...? Then what can I do?

EDIT: I could stop being foolish, that's what. The USB adapter that came with my CycloDS works nicely
