Seriously though. Windows 7 isn't an application.

(Edit - Ah. Didn't know it worked as an upgrade though. So yeah, I suppose it would work on Vista. But seeing as this is beta software, its never really a good idea to use it as your main OS.)

It is said to be an upgrade version. You mean work on by "Upgrade via installation" than yes.

If you mean works with Vista (As in Dual Boot) or lets you upgrade from Vista then yes to both.

When you buy a new house, or car, or lock it usually comes with a key. If you need extras, a locksmith can usually do the trick.

I didn't know about the public beta until a friend told me about it on MSN. He was too late to get a key, and obviously I didn't get any since I didn't even know about it. Oh well, I'm not gonna reinstall my main PC OS anyway just to try a beta that's probably incompatible with some of my software or drivers.

My old PC isn't functioning at the moment, so I couldn't test it on that.

That's too bad. Unless you installed it on it's own partition, you have to reinstall vista. You should have thought ahead!

You should have that of that before...

As far as I know, there is no rollback technique for W7. Try using a vista DVD a doing a repair install??

OR: I have a crack that I haven't tested, you could give it a shot for more time.
