Hacking Will WMP require system update?

Im just wondering if Wii Sports Resort will have a specific update designed for Wii Motion Plus? Or am I just being stupid ^^;

The disk might ask for an update, but the WMP does not require one. Use an update blocker if you don't want the update.

The WM+ is already out and games that use it have the normal 3.4 update on it.

Well I don't know with this one; Big release and were due for an update may very well be a 4.1 soon.

As with any new game, it may require a new IOS. Even if you block updates it's pretty easy to extract the WAD from your game disc (in fact there is a homebrew that does just that, or you could use FTPii) in order to install just the new IOS if you'd like.

GeckoOS will install the missing ios from your game disc without applying any system update
(eg. Grand Slam Tennis uses ios55) then the game will boot fine with update blocking on (via
either preloader or modchip update blocking)
