Hello! I have modded my ps3 slim with 3.55 kmeaw cfw and multiman and everything. I'm wondering if I upgrade to a larger hard drive using the ps3 backup utility, will my ps3 still be modded or will I have to go through the steps again?

System files are stored on flash memory (NAND/NOR), not on your HDD.

You're fine to swap out your HDD's.

Actually a part of the HDD is used for system files. Otherwise you wouldn't have to have the current or newer firmware available when upgrading/changing your HDD. The firmware number and part of the firmware are on the NAND/NOR, but not the whole system (not enough space).
