will there be 4gb micro sd in the future?

    what do you guys think?

    man this thing is so fucking small, cant believe there fit 2gb on it.
    remember floppy discs? those 360kb things? [​IMG]

    I think it will be possilbe, but you have to face the question, if there won't be any cheaper media than flash media in the future. But I think they will at least reacht the 4 GB with their MicroSD.
    As far as I know, there is already a SD Card with 16GB memory, but it costs over 800€ here [​IMG]

    From my understanding of the Micro-SD specifications the maximum size of the cards is 2 GB

    then there should be enough free space for a second micro sd slot on the pcb of slot 1 cards [​IMG]

    As soon as need be, aswell as the more this new standard gets popular, I'm quite sure there'll be cards of such capacity. There are hardly any uSD cards of this capacity because it's just a question of economies of scale & more importantly prohibitive costs: who would buy a 4 GB micro for let's say 300 bucks?
    I'm sure Sandisk or Toshiba will release some in the near future though.
