Gaming Will the Switch get a "Mario Kart 9"?

it will be called Mario Kart 10, not 9, everything else would be illogical:
Mario Kart Wii - Windows Vista
Mario Kart 7 - Windows 7
Mario Kart 8 - Windows 8
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Windows 8.1
Mario Kart 10 - Windows 10

Mario Party 9 was long before this incredible naming scheme was invented. If they had the chance to do again, they would totally skip the 9!
But I think they will go another route with the Mario Party series. The 10ths Mario Party game will be known as Mario Party X like Mac OS, Mac OS 2, ..., Mac OS 9, Mac OS X

Eventually they will unify the naming scheme like Apple did so Mac OSX became macOS, to match the naming style of iOS and watchOS
So all Mario games will be renamed(including the VC rereleases) to marioParty, marioKart, marioSmashFootball, ...

The only thing I could think of that could be Mario Kart 9 would be have it so you could make courses, and the courses you get would be made with the built in editor. (Like when you first get the game.) Even then it would be called Our Mario Kart or something not just Mario Kart 9.

This is just a group of gamers speculating and what we say doesn't mean anything but here goes:

Well given how successful the Switch has been it'll probably be a thing for a long time unlike the Wii U. So we'll probably get a Mario Kart 9. In the meantime I'd really like to see some more Mario Kart 8 DLC adding new tracks and drivers. I just hope it adds new drivers rather than alternate forms of existing drivers like Racoon Mario and Cat Peach.

they will probably call it mario kart swtch for name confusion lol, same way they called super smash bros for wiiu and 3ds lol when you got super smash bros on n64, and ssbm on gc and ssbb on wii.
