Woot! I almost forgot today was the big unveiling. Just paid for and downloaded LostWinds. At $10, that's a freakin' bargain!

Wiiware isn't region free!

American wiiware's will not work on pal!

Worst downloadable service yet. Don't support this.

Why?

First ROMs, and now overcharged flash games. And FF:CC is $50 alone, and it's been out for maybe a couple months. Typical Nintendo crud. Pirate all you want, folks, dismantle this sham of a service.

Says you. And care to give us some reasons to support your statement? For Wii owners (not PS3 and 360 owners -- Wii owners, mind you), WiiWare promises to bring a whole lot more value to the system. So far, we're not seeing a whole lot of Wii games that actually make good use of the Wii remote, even Nintendo-published titles. WiiWare opens the gates to more developers, perhaps folks who aren't afraid to think outside the box. And low development costs promise more variety, more competition and better games...certainly better than just the VC. It's nice to have the option to go back and play games you've either missed or want to revisit, but new games with Wii-specific functionality, which cost the same as VC games? Oh, I will definitely support this.

Except that pirating of Wiiware games won't effect Nintendo at all, though the indie devs who've worked on these games will loose out on the cash.

I am sure that has been an issue on many of the GBA/DS/Wii releases you guys so happily download.

I hope it can be patched region-free.

@BigOnYa, why did you start saying my pc has a hamster in the first place?

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

im taking a break for today anyway

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
