Hacking Wii's Weather Channel has limited location options

The only option I have is to pick from "The Valley", I tried installing the Weather Channel again using MMM, but with no luck, it didn't work. Honestly, what is up, I don't remember having to go through anything special when I first used the Weather Channel back on 3.2.

I also have another issue with the Wii Shop Channel, whenever I try to use/run it, it always says "The Wii Shop Channel is not currently available in your region.", I have disabled the Online Updates hack through Priiloader as I thought that was the problem, but, it wasn't. Any ideas on this too? Thanks.

Well, if your city isn't that big, obviously the Forecast Channel will not have it on there. My city isn't listed on there, so I just go with Vancouver, BC, since it's right next door pretty much.

That would be the case... but, there is only one option to choose from. For the entire region. Not seperate cities. IE: I live in NC, which is no where near "The valley" I assume somewhere in California.

This sounds like a region setting issue. Get AnyRegion Changer and ensure the Game, Area, and Shop options are all set to USA. If they're not, change them to USA.

If weather channel is still broken, check that you have the correct titles. USA wiis need the System (HAFA) v3, and USA (HAFE) v7 channels.

I know this is a bit of an old bump, but, they are all set to USA. Where would I find those channels, google, through MMM or some other program?

NUS Downloader can get them. Get it from wiibrew.

Run it, select System->Weather Channel->41 (All/System)->v3 from the database menu. Check the "Pack->Wad" box, and the "Delete Contents" box at the bottom of the window, and start the download. Then, repeat the process, selecting System->Weather Channel->45 (USA/NTSC)->v7 instead.

Two new folders (0001000248414641v3 and 0001000248414645v7) will appear in the folder containing the NUSD files. There will be a wad in each folder. Put the 2 wads on the SD card, then install.
