According to Wiinewz, this will be the last Wiikey update, after that wiikey owners are on their own

Because it got leaked? By Ozmodchips?

In any event.. this is lame.. it's one of the most popular chips in people's wii's and the Wiikey team are saying "F**K YOU, WE SOLD YOU THE THING AND HAVE YOUR MONEY, WE DONT CARE ABOUT YOU NOW".

The Wiikey Team has done an early release of update version 1.9s after "beta testers" leaked information to other sites after being asked not to. This will likely be the last update for the chip.

yeah basically some of the beta testers are to blame... It's virtually ok to play brawl on back-up but no some a-hole wants to be the first or something to leak the update. Yes I know because they bought the retail brawl (just like me) but atleast have patients to wait for the real update...

I just hope this is just a rumor or a sick joke from the wiikey team...

I don't believe OzModchips would ever leak something he was asked not to, from what I've seen of his posts and occasional rants about less-reputable retailers.

So god forbid we wait until tomorrow for the config disc.

and atm there's only one way that I'll acknowledge the Wiikey team abandoning their product if they give us the source code, and screw us over.

Otherwise, I expect them to roll out with the updates, no matter how damn late [but the end of the Wii's lifetime is too late]

I never updated to 1.9g, can I update from 1.9b to this? Anyone tried?

This should work fine. A lot of people that corrupted their wiikey to play brawl are going straight from the recovery disc, which is essentially 1.9b.

I read at wiinewz that audiofix for GCN it's not working again with this update, can anyone confirm this?

Oh BTW, how do u downgrade to a previous FW version? U need the Recovery 1.9b or just using an update disk?

Thanks again

QUOTEI can confirm as well... audio fix is broken... under 1.9s

*****EDIT******

After turning of Dev mode the Audio fix is fine... my bad.
False alarm.

It's fine... just make sure Dev mode is tuned off!!

updated tonight, no problems with my retail brawl... load times are still long as hell, nintendo screwed this up this time :x

I am using a dvd5 rip (from vv_). Some people have reported that the dvd5 version doesnt make as much noise in the DVD drive of the Wii. Could be worth a comparison if you're interested.

Hey guys does this update let you play the NTSC-U retail version on 480p on a PAL console without switching video modes? Thanks

What I'd like to know about this update is if the 6x speed issue is fixed?

It was mentioned in beta testing that the bug was still present, but perhaps the new config disc will fix that issue?

I updated my Wiikey and got no problems playing my retail brawl...

the noises on my Wii isn't that loud only on some of my back ups like Bully, Metroid Prime 3 and No More Heroes but my back-up brawl isn't. (too loud i mean...)

I don't get the x6/ x3 reading speed and how to determine it but I can say when I played my back-up brawl (burned it at x2.4 on imgburn, on a (CMC MAG D01)2nd class disk) on x3 and didn't read it but I change the speeds on x6 it read clearly and played subspace and online and it run somewhat less noisy... or is it just me
