Trying to get Action Replay for Wii.
Got homebrew, cIOS from d2x-cios-installer, used slot 249 and 250.
When I try to use cMIOSWiiGator I have problems:
1) Can't select slot 249 to use
2) If i select any other slot (236 for example) it gives me the warning then returns me to homescreen 5 seconds after.
Been following this tutorial here and I'm on the cMIOSWiiGator part.
Any help? :/

Why use wiigator cMios instead Nintendont trough usb loader Gx and his great Ocarina support?

you are probably using an ancient guide or thing
wiigator is pretty old stuff not used for a long time
@Cyan can yah help him?

as i i said...
-Install latest Nintendont and latest usbloader gx
-Put the ocarina codes in the folder that you prefere inside your SD or USB
-Select that path on usb loader gx custom paths
-Enable ocarina in usb laoder GX
-Boot the game
-Select the codes to apply
-Play the game

your issue is with the installer?
maybe you could try to install Waninkoko cIOS rev17 (base38) in slot 249 and try again.
That's the cIOS version which was widely used when all the old homebrew were released and still used.
attention if you use waninkoko cIOS installer, it will replace BOTH 249 and 250 with the same version.

About what you are trying to achieve :
I don't know if Wiigator cMIOS will work fine with the action replay.
Seeing it's a mod of MIOS I think it will work, but be aware that Datel didn't use the official "disc swapp" command, and the console might not see that command. You could eject the game disc but reinsertion will not trigger the game to continue loading.

What you will need to do is make a "multi disc iso" with the AR being launch first and triggering a disc swap manually with Wiigator's GC Backup Launcher 0.2.
it used the eject button to force a disc swap command, but I never could test it because of my Wiikey modchip (hijacking the cMIOS features).

I'm all for helping users "try" old and previous homebrew, to see how it worked and the differences with newer ones.
But if all you want is Action replay, there is a thread which explain how to convert Action replay codes to Ocarina codes. Then you can use more modern gamecube loaders and enable Ocarina cheatcodes in them.
