I know this might seem trivial, lol but it there a way for WiiFlow to call the current playing music track while it downloads banners/covers and such?

When you go to download anything, the song stops playing until the downloads complete,... is there anything to keep the songs playing??

music is stopped during downloading because it used to cause issues like possibly crashing wiiflow. although not proven but i did notice downloads ran smoother with music not playing in the background so i kept it that way. also it would stutter quite a bit anyway.

Yes, that was me that reported that issue I got crashes when music was looping whilst downloading.

Different topic: if i'm creating a new theme from scratch for WFL, is there a handy list of all the definitions? eg. [ABOUT/BG] and [ABOUT/INFO] etc.

I ask because I've had the idea to write a theme generator (kind of like a converter that takes a spreadsheet of data and converts it into the theme XML.

while using the default theme go to home menu and press '1' on wiimote. the default theme will be saved as default.ini in the themes_lite folder. You can use it as a base for any new theme. but don't keep it in the themes_lite folder. if you leave it there and I happen to make a wiiflow update that makes changes to buttons and text, they won't work because wiiflow will be using this old default.ini instead of the new buttons and text. This happened to me a while back. i was scratching my head for hours till i figured it out.

I tested out the new WFL 5.4.1, and I have one small issue to report back. I may just be missing something though.

It seems almost like the display is a bit blurry now? I kept squinting my eyes trying to focus, thinking I'm probably just really tired. Or my standards of how sharp the Wii's video output should look somehow suddenly changed overnight.

So I took a screenshot and compared it to one I took 2 days ago. According to the screenshots, it actually is a bit blurry now. See below:

Screenshot I took today on 5.4.1

Screenshot I took 2 days ago on 5.4.1 beta

This is the first time I've experienced this issue with WiiFlow. I assuming it's somehow related to the 480p fix in some way. I did try turning the 480p fix option on and off in Settings, rebooting between adjustments, but still no difference.

Funny thing is i noticed tetsuos theme isnt very sharp for a couple of weeks. I was thinking my eyes are bad or im gonna have to sharpen his images in photoshop. But i dont recall any video changes recently other than adding the 480p fix to libogc.

I press 1 and see "Theme config saved!" But there's no default.ini file at the location you mentioned?

edit: user error, I was not using the default theme - d'oh!

I'd like to help with the testing of the new release, but at the moment I'm not able to do it. It's a very hard time at work, that is constantly keeping me far from home (weekends included). They're squeezing me like no tomorrow and I cannot rest.
I hope to find some free time during the next week, but I cannot promise. I'm really sorry for this.

Good looks on the Slippi support! Got a question; I'm looking for a way to solve the issue of having multiple Brawl mods on one SD card without having to have several Brawl ISOs with the Title ID's hex edited just for the sake of loading different TITLEID.gct files. Is this a feature that could be added with relative ease?

This is what people go through currently to have multiple mods on one console: https://www.reddit.com/r/smashbros/comments/4229mt/tutorial_how_to_run_project_m_and_brawl_minus_on/

It would also be neat (but not entirely necessary) if they could have decoupled save files as an option if that doesn't already exist. Doing the above method causes them to still use the same Brawl save which causes some problems with Random Stage Selection/custom controls across the mods.

The way I'm imagining is the ability to have pseudo-games that you could create that would just be small configuration files that point to the RSBE01 WBFS/ISO but load whatever GCT is configured for that pseudo-game.

I know this would be very helpful for the Brawl hacking scene and would be appreciated by many.

Cheers :)

I have to politely say no. It might be possible to create fake projectm and bm wbfs files and have wiiflow coded so that whenever those games are selected wiiflow would use the real brawl wbfs files but use projectm and bm cheat files. the banner display would be a little tricky. anyways sorry that's a no from me.

I need some help for two things.
1.when i quit a wii game it goes to wii menu. I would like to return to the wiiflow game list as gamecube does.
2.I want to hide some buildin channel's to show up in wiiflow menu like weather and everything not game related.
Thank you in advance for any help provided.

1. main settings>pg 4( i think) is the setting return to. set it to your wiiflow forwarder channel.
2. set a category to hidden (X) then select the weather channel for example and open it's categories menu. now put a check mark in the same category as the hidden one. when you go back it should be gone.

Does anyone use emukidid's wii64 plugin with texturepack options? (https://github.com/emukidid/Wii64/releases). It's beyond awesome - allowing the use of custom textures in any game.

The reason I ask is I have two problems with it and wonder if anyone has resolved..?

1) the original upload from feb 2018 doesn't seem to have any bootargs, that is to say, when choosing a game from wiiflow menu it doesnt auto load but goes to wii64 screen and must manually select sd or usb > game title.

2) it only allows one custom texture pack file loaded on SD to work for only one game. For example- if I want BK texture pack it needs to be titled "texture.pak" and will work if BK is loaded. If I want to switch to another game I need to rename my second pack to "texture.pak" and retitle BK and when I load the new game it will work.

It looks like 7 new commits have been made on github specifically a "default rom selection" option in Oct 2019, which may resolve the issue but I can't compile it. Just curious if any pros here have resolved the argboot issue, recompiled with the new commits, or know which dev libraries are needed?

Is there any way to get WFL to run GC games with Nintendont using my current Nintendont settings?

I set custom screen width in Nintendont and it's not respected when running GC games from WFL.

Why dont you just set the same custom width in wiiflow for each gc game or edit the defaults in wiiflow lite iniini?
