Thanks for testing. I've made a hacky fix for the controllers. If you don't mind a quick fading message at startup.
I don't know how to use the auto input assigning without the menu and I won't inspect the code more.
Copy the zip's content in /wiiflow/plugins.

Ah, thanks Wiimpathy, wasn't expecting a patch v2!
Tested it with wiimote, nunchuck, gamecube controller - works
Tested it retains controller saved settings - works
Great WiiSXR-Wiiflow integration patch that does the job which I've seen requested a few times now here and there.

@fledge68 In my theme .ini I tried changing the font size and color for GAMEINFO/ title, developer, genre etc. However, the font size doesn't change for plugin games, but it changes only for wii games.
No issues with font color on both plugin and wii info screens.
Are plugin and Wii game info's magaged differently?
How can I change font sizes for plugin info's?

Weird i dont know. Ill look into it.

@Wiimpathy @Tetsuo Shima @matt! and everyone else.

Blackb0x has been gracious enough to add wolfssl and his https code to wiiflow for us. This makes it so we can download cheats from geckocodes.org.
I've just tested this and tried geckocodes cheat code downloads. Works!

- Click on game settings
- Cheat Codes: Select (page 2)
- Download
- Done (confirm)

If a game has cheats you’ll now see them. However, there’s no way to download cheats subsequent times (lets say new/updated cheats become available) as the download button disappears when cheats are found locally for a game. (A time stamp of when the cheats for that game were downloaded could be useful?)

If a game has no cheats it says ”download failed”. Maybe there’s a clearer message that there were no cheats rather than the download process itself failed (as it used to before this SSL patch)? After fail you see the attempted download URL.

Aside: I don’t launch emulation from WiiFlow but I’d like to so I’ll look into that. Would appreciate a guide/all-in-one pack.

Thanks all!

@fledge68 , I think you had the right idea, moving the Settings button to the Home Menu.

Logically speaking, the MAIN/screen icons 'Favorites', 'Categories', and 'Source_View' all share a common task of altering the currently-selected CoverFlow to the end user's preference, in an immediately visible fashion.

However, the MAIN/screen icons 'Disc' and 'Settings' perform actions that do not pertain to the currently-selected CoverFlow, in an immediately visible fashion. Their functions can be performed elsewhere without consequence to the functionality of the CoverFlow on MAIN/screen.

'Disc' and 'Settings' functions do share more in common with the functions found on the HOME/screen. Additionally, being placed on the HOME/screen opens up both of these functions to be accessed without the use of IR pointer.

It may be a redundancy, but I personally like the idea of being able to add a Settings button to source_menu.ini, as SourceFlow has become a sort of Home menu in itself for many of us on boot up.

This decision would not be without some consequence, of course. To remove these MAIN/icons would aesthetically break the current themes (Rhapsodii Shima's bottom bar is practically built around having those buttons available on MAIN/screen), and may still leave the MAIN/screen looking a bit barren for some, even when the themes are updated to accommodate the changes.

I still personally think it's a good idea, regardless. But it may not be for everyone.

First, I was thinking on tetsuo's theme he could still use the gears icon as an alternative to get to the Home Menu.

But I think I want to move settings back to the main screen.
I was thinking the Settings Menu should be where you access settings - ie. wii game settings, gc settings, emunand settings, wiiflow settings, and partition settings.
The Home Menu should be where you access simple menu's and quick features - help guide and credits, reload cache, select plugins, exit to and shutdown.

I was thinking of moving Downloads, Parental Lock, and Theme Select to the Home Menu.

But if you guys would rather have a settings button on the Home Menu that's fine. besides all i just mentioned would take time to move things around and reorganize not to mention all the theme editing it would require.

@Hakaisha @fledge68 Just my 2 cents: I would leave the Disc icon in Main, to be able to quickly access discs from anywhere. I think it does make sense for it to be left next to the quick source button, because it is, in all effects, another "source" of games, but on a separate support.
For Settings, I kinda like Fledge's idea of a setting button in the Home menu but still having the icon on Main, as a "shortcut" to get there *

Edit: * or, but I don't know if it's possible, having the gear icon in Main acting differently based on where you are. E.g. if you're in Wii coverflow it just displays Wii related settings, and so on for GC, Plugins, and Homebrew. Plus maybe the adjust coverflow. All the other "general settings" (Wiiflow language, themes, cache, etc.) on Home menu.

I agree, Fledge. In this context of utilizing HOME/screen for quick and simple features, adding 'Settings' to HOME/screen would feel a bit out of place. Perhaps it is best for Disc and Settings to stay on MAIN/screen. I do like the idea of adding Parental Lock and Theme selection to HOME/screen, if you choose to go that route.

@matt! check right here

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

@Hakaisha I would think a quick 4 pin passcode set by the movements of the wii remote would be a great parental lock. In settings a password can be set, a screen pops up and says "Input a password" and you can use any 4 button combination from the wii remote. Have to confirm and if not confirmed have to start again. Keeps it slick so nobody can just see yet not easy to access. kicked to wii menu after 5th try. Maybe back up to email address if you forget the password. Obviously deleting button of password as well. Locks most settings to make it kid proof and wife proof :P

I think changes to location of settings are only scratching the surface, a small change for UX.

think about the planned reorganisation of the settings page itself into multiple groups/pages. this is a bigger change for UX.

i think the most interesting conversation is to figure out where we want to get to at the end, then go step by step.

@fledge68 Never had the chance but, thank you for your active support in the community and for the great help you have been and an active person. WIthout you, wii flow lite wouldnt have been possible. On that note, I know you said that Abz MasterPiece is outdated, I was going to say I can create a new masterpiece file including of Shima's theme. I was what is the most up to date wiiflow file on here and how can I check which one I have? Let me know what you think about that. Thank you once again.

yes, I tried, but it is blocked on the usb1 option (fat32);

the usb2 option is not available and neither is SD (sd, no present)

confirm that wiiflow-lite reads the partitions ext2(3-4)?
Make sure your wbfs (Fat32) partition is set to Active too

Hmm, I am having a problem, I am trying to boot The Legend of Zelda Skyward sword from SD via wiiflow and it crashes to black screen, any ideas?

Yes, I have seen the wii motion+ videos.
