Is the WiiFlowLoaderChannel V2 - WIIH.wad safe to install on my vWii (I read this will fix it? not sure if the wad is safe for the vWii)
I'm not sure about everything else, but for this, you would need to convert the wad's nandloader using something like convert2vwii (or modmii after my next update)

Can anyone help me with my situation. I have the Wii U
After exiting a game from a plugin in Wiiflow (for example Gamecube or N64) it always sends me back to the Wii menu.
I want to have it where any game I exit from it exits back to WiiFlow menu.

I have WiiFlow settings set to boot back to Wiiflow
I have the vWii forwarder and the WiiU forwarder (they both boot fine into WiiFlow)
Is the WiiFlowLoaderChannel V2 - WIIH.wad safe to install on my vWii (I read this will fix it? not sure if the wad is safe for the vWii)

Thank you for all of your hard work everyone
yes you need the hidden channel to return to wiiflow. follow the instructions here on the wiiflowiki forwarder page. i don't know if installing WIIH.wad will work on vwii. i suppose so since its a hidden channel and doesn't need NAND access and doesn't actually load a banner.

I'm having some issues when using combined SD/USB game partition, if anyone could help.
I can load GCN/Wii games with zero problems when the partition is set to either SD, or USB, but when it is set to combined SD/USB, it shows all my games from both the SD and USB as expected, but they no longer boot.
I have the Mount SD Only option disabled, idk what else to note, but again they boot fine when set individually on either USB or SD.

Set game partition USB > wiiflow reloads > boom USB games, covers, all swell, boots
Set game partition SD > wiiflow reloads > boom SD games, covers, all swell, boots
Set game partition SD/USB > wiiflow reloads > boom SD & USB games, covers, all swell except no longer boots

I'm having some trouble with the Wiimotes disconnecting from Wiiflow after a few minutes. This problem has been happening for a while, but I used to be able to reconnect them by pressing a gutton. Now they just light up for a second and then shut off again. This only happens in the Wiiflow menu. I don't know why it got worse.

Also, I have questions about emunand. I installed it with ModMii onto my external hard drive, but Wiiflow didn't recognize any of the titles I added to it. The path was set correctly - usb1:/nands/pl_us. But it didn't detect anything, at least until I installed a WAD directly through WiiFlow. Why is that the case? Did I not have to go through the ModMii installation, then? I really don't want to have to install all those games manually...

And also you can use ModMii https://modmii.github.io/ to check your system and repair all needed.

once again, after you add or change games you have to do a cache reload. when you installed a wad via wiiflow it auto did a cache reload.

How do I do that?

No, after I installed it, it only displayed the game I had just installed. It didn't start showing the games that were already there.

Hi @fledge68,

I would like to configure emunand for WFL. I can change the device between SD and USB, but I cant select the sub-directory within sd:/nands or usb1:/nands. Is this a known problem?

The only way that works for me is editing wifflow_lite.ini.

sorry i don't have the time to test it to see if it works for me. maybe someone else can confirm if its broke. or go back on version of wfl and see if it works.

I have been testing quite a bit lately and can confirm switching SD & USB emunand both work for me also. Now with d2x beta3, SD emunand compatibility hit the roof.

As for switching between sub-directories, it also works for me without issue (testing as we speak) on both USB and SD. I use 2 different emunands 1. WiiWare 2. Virtual Console.

Maybe @impeeza can still confirm later tonight.

are you on wii or vwii? i see you are on vwii. when using vwii the nands folder is sd:/vwiinands or usb1:/vwiinands.

i added a commit that allows you to use nands instead of vwiinands.

added option to use nands not vwiinands when on wii u. set manually by changing [CHANNELS] use_vwiinands=no in wiiflow_lite.ini

Guys, I just started my Wii setup.

I have a SD card with only a FAT32 partition an this files and folders on the root:

Also I have a USB external disk also with only a FAT partition with this files and folders on the root:

Starting WFL 5_5_4 (2024_08_03) -beta3 going on the settings menu, on page one there is a NAND Emulation Settings:

Inside a new menu is open, on the first page you can select one of multiple NANDs folders if you have several:

on my case I have only one!: (nands/default/)

on second page of the NAND Emulation Settings menu you can select the device for the NAND Emulation Folder, on my case I can select SD or USB1 without problem:

Then I installed CIOS dx2 v11 beta3 created by ModMii, restarted the console and everything working just fine, I can change the EmuNAND device without problem

Yes is right. the beta3 resolved issues which has been on the d2x FOR YEARS and somehow got unadverted!
Post automatically merged:

Beta2 improvements:
  • Improved WiiWare & VC compatibility by using some MEM1 safe functions.
  • Improved game compatibility when using base IOS58 by ignoring encrypted USB drives that are used for Wii U games.
  • Added base IOS38 v4380 support for vWii.
  • Enabled Korean key patching for vWii.
  • Fixed a typo that made the FAT module not reproducible.
  • Reduced memory usage for the EHCI module.

Beta3 Improvement:
  • Fixed IOS38 version identification for Wii. It was originally set to the wrong value 13 years ago. This will ensure that automatic cIOS selection works correctly with WiiWare and VC games on the Wii.

I am currently attempting to use WiiGSC to forward WiiFlow Lite running a GameCube (Sunshine) title through Nintendont. After installing the WAD, if I run it, it will successfully load WiiFlow, but it will give an error along the lines of "cannot find game with specified ID GMSE01", do any of y'all know how to make it properly load the GameCube title? The game is in the list of GameCube titles when I load WiiFlow regularly, but when using a WiiGSC WAD to Forward to WiiFlow, it can't find any GameCube title whatsoever.

I'm having a very difficult time getting the latest commit to compile. I downloaded devkitppc r42-1 and libogc 2.4.0 from leseratte archive. Replaced the two folders devkitppc and libogc with the older versions (I'm running windows 11 and used the graphic devkitpro installer).

Run make command get this error
Code:
fatal error: gctypes.h: No such file or directory
When I run make clean i get this error
Code:
/opt/devkitpro/devkitPPC/wii_rules: No such file or directory

I think there is stuff missing from the archive downloads. With some reseach I did find fledge68 asking where wii_rules was and finding it somewhere?
