Hacking WiiFlow Boot Animation Competition!

There is no way you intentionally made the quality crap. All the dots and random colors you see around the edges (zoom in if you don't notice them) are a result of compression. It's just like the compression in a jpg file:

Look at everything past the "v"

The static mod was an accident on my part actually. I cut out everything but the "o" on the frames after the background to make the color consistent.

I've edited this at a pixel level using MSPaint - perhaps the artefacts are from rendering the font in MSPaint? Anyhoo, thanks for touching it up - much appreciated. Can i ask a favour - I can't do it in paint - can you make it 'nintendo' red, black out side the ring, white inside? The screen 'O' might look a bit pants in red, maybe leave that black, and the cover white?
I really need to get into gimp or PS.

EDIT: Just had a really close look, and the outer 'o' is a bit wobbly. Can you make that as static as possible, so that just the inside (i.e. the 'cover') is moving?

Also do you think the 'MOD' could be bigger, or is it alright as it is?

IMHO those are highly pixelated and not very good, i.e colours don't go with WiiFlow as a whole, I.personally would stick with white/blue or shades of blue/white.

Also please don't use that horrible uLoader/Nintendo style border, its really ugly aswel as the font.

You guys need a nice HQ, crisp, clean, simple to look at animation. Most things that have been posted are highly busy, sluggish(choppy animation) and franky just not that nice to look at, don't get me wrong I haven't done much better but to me WiiFlow needa a nice modern loading screen(as well as a new default theme facelift).

I just see old skool Win 95 styles at the moment compared to a nice Win7/8 upgrade we need.

Just my 2 cents no offence intended, just friendly advice.

I'm working on it...(really hard). i have one in mind. an the good part is i can do it any color to match a theme..
this will be a nice update. an it will also go with the holodark themes. ( the best 2 themes out.).. just wish there was more of a 20 frame limit,then 10 frame. then this boot screen would rock. an look more smooth. my mario one was a 10 min throw together. i'm off today so i have time to make this one 100%. just started on the first one. i'll upload it later today. it will be a 20 frame limit.(hope this could be added, or if there was a way to add a folder to themes that is the boot animation,an not hard coded in the bootfile.)
another words, make the boot file a loop avi file (like m player), an have that line of code in the dol point to said boot avi. this i'm guessing would free up some line in the code.
( but i'm no coder so i wouldn't know. just a thought.)

Thanks man, all good points. Given that we've got 10 frames of 200 x 100 pixels to play with - I can't see a windows 7 level animation anytime soon. I look forward to seeing your attempts prove me wrong!
Curves (and straight lines off the axis) are always going to look a bit rough at this resolution - i'm going to try to stay on the horizontal and vertical - very good point!
Colours are always potentially going to clash with a theme - I've tried to stick to black and white (and Ninty's corporate colour) for this reason. Can I ask why you prefer blue - does this match many other themes? Can you post a swatch of the blue(s) you're using?

if it's a loop style then the answer is yes. you can add any sound you like.
just to say i'm working on a flow droid, boot screen.( i like the eye loading screen, an i think that would look sweet as a loading screen.) an i have the sound file, just want it to say trying to get it to say "flow" then "mod" when the eye lights up. a i said i'll upload it as soon as i'm finished. might be with out sound first. i also have the bootscreen in 4 different colors. but in order for this to look right, it would need to be added to the dol to load a loop file. an not 1-10.png..(i hate that.) the loop file could even be added to the theme folder, that way the boot screen could always match the theme.
EDIT this is why i hate the 10 frame limit.( this looks like S$%T!) an loop would give creators a lot more freedom to do what they like.

White on black, juggling covers - couldn't find a font i preferred - open to suggestions.

EDIT: Thanks to pepxl for the heads up. Spoken to FIX, if the animation with the most votes fits a 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, sequence (not 1,2,3,4,4,3,2,1) - he's prepared to look at the code to fit that - which is above and beyond what I originally asked him, so thanks a bunch!
