I'm having the same issue. It was first working fine but then I tried loading up a new source menu, and it gave me the DSI error. When I went back into the source_menu.ini and edited it back to no it took the DSI error screen away but it just boots into a black screen now it's really annoying because sometimes I forget to take out the SD card when turning on my Wii . So now I have to take it out then pop it back in after it loads to get this to stop. Glad to know someone else is having the issue now it's time to figure out how to fix it.

Under this thread the bottom has a link to show sorta how to fix the issue. I have an SD card not a usb harddrive with the issue but I don't know I need to read it over I suppose just to make sure theres something I can figure out . check it out though maybe it'll help you.
HTML:
http://gbatemp.net/threads/emulate-a-wii-nand-to-keep-your-wii-clean.291814/

I was finally able to fix the issue. I'm not sure what caused it to work exactly, but I reinstalled Bootmii to Boot2 for the 100th time and it seems like it might have been more successful that time around or something. I also realized that I never installed the Wiiflow Channel to the actual NAND so that was the other thing I did (I'm not entirely convinced that was the fix, but you never know). Either way, it works now and I'm not complaining.

sirxup,
It sounds like your issue might be slightly different than mine. How are you booting into WiiFlow (Priiloader, Bootmii Boot2)? Also, it doesn't hurt to try renaming your Wiiflow.ini and your WiiFlow folder on your SD root and let it recreate everything. I'm not sure where all of your WiiFlow stuff loads from, but the WiiFlow folder and dol all load from the SD for me. The EmuNAND however is on the USB. Also, make sure your sneek stuff is setup correctly. If you're unsure, it might not hurt to grab a copy of the Sneek folders from Abz pack. I know some of this stuff doesn't sound like it could cause issues with booting WiiFlow, but if there's one thing I've learned from troubleshooting this stuff, it's that you just never know.

What is wrong with Wiiflow?
I used it like 2 days ago and all my Wii games were loading up fine, even hacked ones like Project M and Mario Kart Wii Retro.
But today I wanted to try Mario Kart Retro online again, and it gave me a blackscreen.
Tried Project M too, blackscreen. Same for the original Mario Kart Wii, Smash Brawl, Black Ops and other 3 games.
NONE of my Wii games is booting, and I don't know why :S I didn't even move anything in the SD card at all nor the WBFS folder.

Weird thing is that is not my HDD, since it is booting NGC games and ROMs for emulators out of the HDD in Wiiflow just fine.
What could be the issue?
Any suggestion?

What happens when you reload the cache for the Wii games?

In startup settings set your cIOS to 249.

That could not be the issue since my games were working fine before without changing cIOS to 249.
I already fixed it, I just downloaded the 1075 MOD 3 by Abz and replaced all the files in my app/Wiiflow folder. My Wii games are now booting normally.
The only file I kept in apps/Wiiflow was the wiiflow.ini, all the others were erased and copied from the Abz pack.

looks like im the latest victim of the wiped hard drive.

all i did was use clean rip to copy a gamecube game. then started wiiflow and did a cache reload. the game showed up so i downloaded the cover and went into settings to set the NMM mode. backed out and started the game. Nintendont started but not in autoboot mode (showed sd: or usb). I thought that was weird so used the start button on my gamecube controller to exit and it said returning to loader. but instead of wiiflow it went to the wii menu. i used the wiiflow forwarder but it didnt work. i turn the wii off and on and wiiflow didnt auto start so i tried the forwarder again and again it didnt work. so i took my hard drive to my pc and it shows the right drive letter but i cant access anything. windows just wants to format it. the drives properties show it completely full (not empty) but yet the byte count for full and empty are both zero.

I have a lot of games on another drive but theres a lot I dont have. its gonna be a long slow process to get back to where i was. im not blaming anyone. obviously these homebrew are use at your own risk. just want everyone to be aware and BACK UP your hard drive. It would be great if someone knows what caused it and could fix it but I doubt that will happen so just BACK UP your stuff.

note i was using Abz's 1054mod. no blame on Abz though. not even sure if it was wiiflow or nintendont. hmmm at reload cache the games were there but sometime after that something could've happened to the hard drive and thats why nintendont didnt autoboot when wiiflow launched it but nintendont was on the hard drive so it wouldnt have launched to begin with.... just thinking out loud. By the way i still love wiiflow and nintendont and plan to continue to use them once i get everything back. so lets not start trying to scare any off just be aware and back up in case something like this happens to you.

just a small addition, who knows, maybe I'll return to wiiflow in a bit.
-added libwupc, this will make the wiiu pro controller usable in wiiflow
Have any considerations been made to include Abz's recent contributions (PS3 Dual Shock and HID game settings button)?

Sorry to hear that Fledge!
there are scarce reports about HDD getting wiped when using homebrew (a user reported mame emulator and other users reported other stuff) but it doesn't look app related,
I believe it's a problem with the HDD itself.
I run wiiflow and nintendont hundred times a day while testing or adding stuff, so if there was a bug it would have shown.
Does your HDD have an external power source or just a usb cable?

usb cable

ya i cant see how it could be app related. my drive appeared to me that the MBR or VBR or partition table was corrupted and that the files were all still there but i couldnt find any pc app that would fix those things so i just reformatted. its gonna take time to get it back the way it was and make sure its all (ALL) backed up this time. now i will have to redownload all the mastershoes covers or at least rename them. my gamecube games are my biggest worry. my disc are old and scratched. hopefully i can still use them to install on usb hdd.

on a side note - unrelated. before this all had happened i used wiiflow to install 2 gamecube games. it said everything was fine but when i tried to play them they wouldnt. i checked and the game.iso was corrupt. so i used clean rip and discovered the the wiiflow game.iso's werent enuff bytes. so it appears that INSTALL GAME on wiiflow doesnt work right and yes i had compressed off. Im using USB loader gx for now to install games.

Wiiflow has crashed on me.. it initially loads, but any time I click on any item in the source flow, it boots me back to priiloader...

Does anyone know why this might be happening? All was previously working fine.. Maybe one of my config files or such has become corrupted, but I have no idea which?

Please help, thanks!

PS: Some more information.. I've discovered that if I press the B button rather than click a system title, it will take me to the USB Wii games and shows them all and plays them.. if I click the next icon it shows all my Gamecube games... However clicking any icon from source flow still drops me to Priiloader.. It seems really weird.

Have you accidentally picked the 'other' gensplusgx plugin? As in, if you were using the standalone emu have you selected the RetroArch plugin? (Think I did this myself once)

That sounds very similar to what I did recently..
I switched from the singular all in one plugin of GBAGX, to the three seperate plugins of GBAGX (ie. GBAGX Game Boy Advanced, GBAGX Game Boy Color, GBAGX Game Boy)

Does this cause issues by doing this?

PS: the issue I was previously having with the Gensplus covers not showing up was because Abz switched the directory from box_covers/genplus to box_covers/genplusgx in the plugins and when I updated to his new pack it couldn't find the proper directory because it was the wrong name now.

I've also noticed what may be a bug in Wiiflow FTP (also occurs in WiiXplorer's FTP)....

Whenever I try to rename a file, the FTP locks up, and I have to restart the Wii.

if the partition became unrecognized you can use grub or diskpart to "set" the "id" for that partition, that'll save you the time.

yeah stuff like that can happen during writing process and they are very dangerous and annoying, that's why I never use the wii to rip or manage my games :)

I use FTP a thousands times a day and this is the only feature that never failed, just make sure that your PC FTP client like filezilla is using 1 file at a time for transfer

I am using Filezilla, and do have the FTP set to use 1 connection.

BTW did you notice my other recent post about the big issue I am having? If you have any suggestions on that it would be greatly appreciated. :)

quick connect to my wii using IP + port 21
in settings there is an option to limit number of files sent simultaneously > select 1

as for source menu error I never had that before, try reinstalling the theme + source or a clean install
maybe your source ini is corrupted - so also do a scandisk

I did do a diskscan in Windows, and it found a couple errors on the disk but was able to fix them. It copied some things to a FOUND.000 folder (I can give more details on those if needed)
The hard drive connects fine connected to the Wii as well as the computer, everything is still accessible through The Homebrew Channel.
I can get my USB Wii Games to play via Wiiflow if I use the B button to exit back, rather than clicking (as previously explained).. So it appears that the issue is purely do to source menu/coverflow menu.
I have uploaded the source_menu.ini again, but the issue remains. and the only recent thing I have changed in the source menu was adding a couple new pictures from your full_cover (of the master pack),
and changing GBAGX from using the single plugin, to the 3 separate plugins for GBA, GBC, & GB respectively.
