Gonna test it out but there seems to be success on the yard, so I'm sure I'll be able to get it working soon thanks Mastershoes for the tip, funny cuz I ended up just removing it from the source menu altogether if I would have just put it back it would have worked lol.

Also for whatever reason the music started working for me today ... really I don't know wtf happened as I changed nothing with the music files, I was just doing some cover editing for my emulators and renamed a batch and next time I started it up voila... gold. Still using r615 so I'm a bit hesitant to update with reports of music getting broken around r622. Seems like [member='sdoc96'] and I are sniffing the same glue.. or lack thereof :D

Whoa i think we just experienced a glitch in the Matrix :p1ng: same thing happened with the music.....was resizing covers for emus converted a mp3 to ogg to check.....and when i loaded it started playing mp3 i forgot to delete in folder?!?!??!!

So, it's sort of reproducible.. any one else that doesn't have the music mess with the covers for emulators and see if that will get your music to play.. as weird as that sounds :P However if that's the case then at least the random/weird bug might be able to be tracked down. @macmanhigh what rev are you using?

@luck_gh0st @MassiveRican @anyoneelsewithscummvmproblems

As far as SCUMM goes, i found a little trick that gets it to display properly... IT DOES WORK!!

-Leave it OUT of your plugins folder initially.
-Fire up Wiiflow once.
-Put scumm back in the plugins folder.
-They should appear properly now.

-In other words, I've found if this is the LAST plugin added after the rest have been setup, it will display. If i had it in with all the others plugins, i get the same problem where it'll show up with a different emulator.
No dice here :( I used wiiXplorer and cut/pasted the files out of the plugin folder to the SD card, strted wiiflow exited started wiiXplorer moved them back but it didn't seem to do anyhting.. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? I've tried 4 times now... There were 3 files : the scummvm-mod5.dol , scummvm.ini and scummvm_plugin.ini. I wonder if maybe if it doesn't work with r631 ... but I can't see why?.. Something weird that did happen on the last try, when i had none of the scumm files in the plugins folder, was while I was testing the other emus in the source_menu, I went back to the Lynx emu and the covers were sideways (like the N64 that I had just come from) so I went to look at the rest, and they were all fine, went bak to the Lynx and it was fine again. I guess it's kind of hard to explain...... But once I put the plugin and the 2 .ini files back, the scummvm games just show up with the Lynx games.....

something else weird that I wanted to post about, before I forget, is about having... Ghost files I guess. Like on my FAT32 partition where the GC games are. occasionally, I will have double games. Same name. One will have the banner (the real game) and the other won't. When I delete the bannerless one, it takes the cover with it. I'm thinking that this may be from me using different OSes sometimes? Maybe windows is leaving some annoying $RYCYCLE.BIN files or Mac .Trashes or Spotlight-V100 or whatever.. I don't think that Linux leaves any resource files that I know of.. Or maybe I'm crazy... or all of the above B-)

Try this Budd

1.Backup ur Scumm Plugins to PC(ini, dol etc.)
2.Delete Cache, wiiflow ini & Scumm plugins off SD
3.Start Wiiflow and load a Emu plugin(just browse i would say load 1 game and exit back to wiiflow)
4.Exit Wiiflow and Copy over back to SD
5.Load WiiFlow again....go to plugin select menu and just choose Scumm(should now be last plugin in list) and :yay:

Let us know whuts the outcome cause this worked for me by way of  MasterShoes

I only use Windows 7 and I have the same problem, for me Ikaruga, Timesplitters 2, Windwaker and Splintercell Pandora Tomorrow appear double at times, and when deleted within WiiFlow caused all the duplicate covers to disappear but caused another copy to appear. Refreshing the cache helps for a while but will happen again.

Just deleted from the HD and will try reinstalling again.

btw couple of those were ripped within WiiFlow from originals and couple just downloaded to save time.

loving the progress being made, getting very occasional codedumps, but the majority of the time everything works great, and loving the emulator and movie support. I,ve now got about 130 movies on the wii with covers etc and it just looks really nice and works great. I'm only using Media, Wii, GC, N64 and SNES so far.

Hopefully the next official release will iron out some of the more random bugs before further new features are added

I'm having problems with the nand emulation. I finally got it to extract, and it looks like it put several files in /wiiflow/nandemu. When i try to access it in the app, it says that it cant find a valid nand for nand emulation. Any ideas?

Well, I did all that this time except for deleting the cache. Now It kind of works... if I try to choose scummvm in the source menu it comes up blank still. and the scumm games still show up with the Lynx games. But if I don't use the source_menu and I click the gamecube/apps/usb/HB button (if you know the button that I'm talking about? on the main screen) it wii show the scummvm games and they work. I just can't access it from the source_menu...

A couple of minor gui related feature requests, nothing urgent just little things
  • Banner Transparency for Gamecube banners
  • and now that we have multiple methods for launching Gamecube games, changing the "DML" label to Gamecube or GCN
As I said, nothing of any great urgency, just aesthetic adjustments

EDIT: I've just realized that the DML label i was refering to was part of the theme I'm using and not wiiflow itself.

Actually didnt mention that i dont use source_menu so not sure.......i go thru settings and choose plugins
Well if I click the gear button and change plugins it works everytime at boot but eventually goes back to being blank for scummvm and showing with the Lynx games again. Maybe I should just put a Scummvm channel in with the WiiWare nand stuff.. might save me the headache.. I wonder why the source_menu doesn't like scummvm for?

Hmmmm... I wonder if I could .zip each scummvm game and in the .ini where file types is blank tell it fileTypes=.zip... or even some othe extension??? (kinda like android .apks are really just .zips) Sounds too easy to work...

Isn't this saying it is DIOS MIOS booting?? I figure that is there so we know either DM(L) or Devolution at this point, if we switch it to Gamecube or NGC, we wouldn't know between DM(L) or Devolution (I use Devolution for most of the games that currently don't run on DM(L) .)

Did you post the same one twice? Anyway, More success here. I went and kept my wiiflow .dol and set up everything again except for the cache (because I didn't want to have to wait for the .wfc files to rebuild) then I followed mastershoes instructions with no scummvm files on the first boot, and out them back. Now Scummvm even works in the source_menu like it should :yay: when I click the gear icon and goto plugins, the scummvm is last finally like it is supposed to be.
The Lynx games are on there own. Thanks for your help all you guys :hrth:

Now to work on the covers....

oh, speaking of covers, covers for movies probably don't download from anywhere do they?

My first ScummVM code dump with Leisure suit Larry (old version) while tring to use the keypad (I think I might need to break out my usb keyboard for this game I know it works without code dump)

I wish that I knew how to read these things... I would guess that it's some kind of hexadecimal stuff...

:mthr: Nice Budd glad it finally worked as expected....U can go to spiffycovers dot com they got a collection going for almost everything

Still trying to find out Y Movies R not showing Sub Folders.....

So weird. As quickly as it started working for no reason, mine has stopped, again, for no reason. Nothing changed. Just been playing a few games. Last 5 reboots.
Oh well, was nice while it lasted. Might do some experimentation with those files, me thinks.

I've got 2 issues that could be somewhat related.
First, some background info: I use the advanced source menu and I have each button configured to use specific emuflows. I have all of my data on USB1 with the exception of my wiiflow fowarder (which is on the SD card) and the wiiflow.ini reflects the paths as USB1:
  1. I'm kind of having the opposite issue that people were having with their SNES/N64 covers. Everything looks good except when I hit the 1 or 2 button to switch to a certain view. The view always throws the cover on it's side (as if it was a SNES/N64 cover) when the game is selected (moved to the center). To be clear, this only happens to one of the views, not all of them. I have the Genesis button set to use emuflow 1. I think I also tried 5 at some point. My NES covers have the same issue. My SNES and N64 are set to 2 respectfully. My Wii and Gamecube covers are working fine. It almost seems like the emulaters are globally set to use emuflow 2 and are disregarding what is actually set in the source_menu.ini or something.
  2. My second problem is that whenever I add a theme, I don't get all of the Bells and Whistles when I view my covers on my EMUFLOW( 1 and 2 buttons do nothing). With my Wii and Gamecube games, I can press 1 and 2 and am able to switch views regardless of which theme I set.
Lastly, thanks for all of the dedication that everyone has put into creating the best all-in-one front-end for the Wii ever.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I'm currently using one of the recently updated Default.ini themes. I've had this issue since the beginning though.
