Guys need a quick preference, just let me know what number style you think looks best for the button tweak.

2 and 3 look alike but I think 3 is lighter in the black. I choose 3.

Nice, i was thinking 3 also.

1. Wave overlay above icon.
2. Wave overlay with blue stroke behind icon.
3. A mix of 1 & 2 with overlay behind and above icon.
4. Standard half button overlay above icon, tweaked version of the original overlay.

EDIT

I will also make final transparent icons so whoever wants to use them, can with any theme they wish to.

hey pepxl,
Are you making these icons for the current 90x90 pixels size?
Cause I think the text and background details will barely show, moreover the dark text in 3 and 4 will be hard to read.

It's nice that you elected to use text on the icons, they look much nicer now (compared to first sneak preview)

Don't worry about text, I've got that covered.

Yeah actual logos look better so I've decided to stick with those lol.

are these buttons not adjustable and movable in themes then?
They really should be. That could solve a lot of problems.

Apparently they can be, I've half completed theme .ini with button sizes how i'd like them to be but a startup_menu pack will tide people over til I finished my theme .ini.

So I'm trying to break down my scummvm issues.

If it's the only plugin i have in my plugins folder, it displays fine, covers display and all is good.

When I have multiple plugins it will display when I select "all plugins" but not when i select it independently (either from the startup_menu or the options/plugins menu). Also an interesting note, it seems to decide to associate itself with another plugin... Check it out.. I figured out by listening to the .ogg file when in "all plugins" mode, I can find which one it decided to associate itself with. Initially, for me it was SNES. If I selected JUST the SNES plugin, it would also show the scummvm games, but with all the properties of SNES (SNES box color, .ogg). I saw nothing suspicious with my SNES cache either, although i did delete and try again. Same thing. Next step, i removed a bunch of plugins, including SNES. Result? Now it associated itself with Genesis. I've then tried a fresh install. Same results. Maybe the fact that scummvm doesn't seem to build any wiiflow specific cache list, that some goofy ass shitz is happening?

Edit: Should probably also add that it tries to launch the scummvm game with whatever emu it's associated itself with.

Well, i noticed some strange things here too..
this is what I do:
1. open wiiflow without source_menu
2. cycle to emuflow using source button
3. Scummvm games show fine.
4. open source menu and select scummvm
5. No games show
so, it has to be something with the source menu...imo

a little info that might help - in your wiiflow.ini at the bottom there should be a [PLUGIN] section with magic #'s = yes or no. that is what controls what plugin shows or not via the source select menu and plugin select menu. For some reason I noticed that the magic #'s are only 7 character's here but 8 every where else. I would try deleting that part of wiiflow.ini and let wiiflow remake it. It might have gotten messed up somehow.

that is how wiiflow makes it though. with only 7 digits. I am on a fresh install and there are only the 7 digits. I am not sure if that is where the issue is, but it seems a good place to start. maybe it is because scummvm is the only plugin that has a letter in last place...

You guys got me thinkin'... I manually added the "D" to the plugin number in the wiiflow.ini and they're displaying properly!!! Try it out masterjakeway, and thanks guys!

Well better late than never lol, this should tide the people over who use my BC theme, hopefully i can get it finished pretty soon if nothing pops up in the mean time.

Quick Q: when making different icons for sub-emulation i.e. GB, GBC and GBA we should have 3 magic numbers in 3 different plugin inis & 3 different rom folders right?
the 3 different plugin.ini with 3 different magic #s. but, you could just seperate the roms by extention and only allow the specific types in each ini file. if that makes sense...

3 different INI's : Yes.
3 different ROM folders : That's your choice but just putting different filename extensions in each INI should do the trick.
3 different magic numbers : sounds right ... not sure.
