@[member='FIX94'],
I'm really struggling with those latest revisions with rebuilding cache!
I have now 2 boot dols on my sd rev149 which I use to make the cache file and latest to play games.
However I want to add DML games to ngc folder according to latest rev. but I can't rebuild the cache.
So please take another look at this.
Please if anyone had problems rebuilding cache recently post your comments. (try it by pressing B on Cfg button)

Ok no problem
If you want test this supercool custom wiiflow channel with latest forwarder: http://www.mediafire...6io5iq4d9q7krrr

Nice indeed bro. Full of animation and everything flows very nice, you should ask Fix and the others to consider adding this as an official forwarder on the wiki, I'd vote for it, it's really good. I put my own beat on it cuz I like to hear some hard base and changed the Title ID to match GameTDB's so as to have a cover when going through game view on real NAND other then that spectacular.. should the F for "Wiiflow" be capitalized though? I always write out WiiFlow when I can lol.
Try it and you tell me ;)
Very nice! And no half-naked girl cover art - bonus! I can actually use this on the kids Wii.

Appreciate the effort. It works nicely on the latest Wiiflow-mod branch.
Hey come on there is nothing wrong with a girl wearing a bathing suit... at least that's what I tell my kid lol.

@[member='abdallahterro'] I'll try rebuilding the cache with latest build and see what's up. In the meantime my only gripe is how slow Wiiflow boots even with the cache for me it still takes like a full 7+ secs to load and when switching game views once I go back to Wii Games it takes long to load again. You'd think with the cache being there that it would load much faster, and I don't think that having just short of 400 games would make a difference since on the wiki it states it could load thousands in a mere 2-3 secs which is not the case for me, if it was I really wouldn't care. Edit: I'm retarded I was using a test dol from miigotu's build

It works just fine here, see my current gecko log:
http://pastie.org/3543157
I tested with both ios249 & 251 same problem
I'll re-download the source and build the dol to see if that fixes the issue.
Yea the cache rebuild works excellent on my end as well no prob here with r184, and also it boots way faster into my games I was using an old test dol from miigotu's merged build which gave me the slowdown problem.

Double checked with fresh source rev 184.
1. Started Wiiflow > Pressed B on CFG > Code dump
2. Start Wiiflow> Code dump
3. Go to cache\lists folder usb2_wbfs.db is missing
4. Copied that usb_wbfs.db file from backup OR Tried older rev.149 > Wiiflow starts fine
5. Code dump also happen with DML, Homebrew and Wiiware with latest rev

Diagnosis: Newer revision code dumps when creating the cache file for wbfs games (at least on my wii)
Plan: Fix this bug please

Can this be due to wiiflow.ini? (if yes I'll add it to a spoiler)

It might be due to a recently added game, but even though why the older revision works?

I can confirm that this was due to one of the games (still don't know which one)
I made a new wbfs folder with 5 games in and the rebuild cache works. Still need to find the culprit game.
But why rev149 is having no problem? Was the way of building cache or checking files on ntfs partition changed recently? And why CFG-USBL & USBL-GX are working fine?

Also code dump when
dir_usb_games="%s:/ngc"
works fine when dir_usb_games= or dir_usb_games="%s:/games"
I think there's a problem here too

rev 185

Log message

-changed a few things about the addition in r183 again, if
you want to have the gamecube games in the usb folder
"ngc" you now also just need to set the ini to "ngc",
no need for "%s:/ngc" anymore (thanks r-win for few tips)

rev185 dir_usb_games="ngc" >>>>> Code dump!!!
deleted usb1 cache files >>>>>>>> DML could not see the usb games!!
renamed ngc to games and changed dir_usb_games="ngc" to "dir_usb_games=" >> All worked like a charm
so it seems wiiflow 185 is still not recognizing the custom folder.

It might just be a hard drive speed issue. I know my WiiFlow loads up just fine but my father-in-law's is pretty slow.
His is a USB 3.0 drive, though, so that could have something to do with it as I was saying.
I have seen severe speed problems on some Wii's with USB 3.0 drives that were fixed by switching to a USB 2.0 drive. Maybe 1 in 30 or so have real problems with USB 3.0 drives.

rev187 works with custom ngc folder for dml however usb1_games.bin or usb1_ngc.bin cache file should be deleted first
still getting code dump with the game "Score International Baja 1000 - World Championship Offroad Racing_[RJCE52].wbfs" despite thet the file is not corruted and plays fine with all revisions.
The problem is only presen while building the cache

n.b. I hate this game and don't play it, But I think this bug should be fixed

Hey guys,
Did anyone tried to auto-convert his wbfs games to favorite categories using the cache file? How?
I wrote an app to parse the XML from the WiiTDB download into the categories.ini file. It is current as of a day ago. Here is the download link for the categories.ini.

http://uploading.com/files/7mbe1285/categories.ini/

Just put that into your Wiiflow/Settings folder and you will be all set.

When I get some free time I will complete the app and upload it so others can parse the XML categories themselves.

So, how does that work if there's only 11 categories on WiiFlow? Did I miss something? Does it fit more categories for widescreen TV's or something? What categories does it use?

Edit: The categories I'm using at the moment I made up in Spanish for my family. Does this parse the actual category names out of the different language XML files themselves or would I still have to edit the file and translate the names?

Thanks great work :)
I see that many games are missing. Maybe you should have a category called "Other" for uncategorized games.

Some time back I asked what it would take to add more categories in WiiFlow and was told it probably wasn't going to happen so the logic I used was as follows. Based on the categories in the XML I setup these 11 categories:

cat1=Action
cat2=Adventure
cat3=Fighting
cat4=General
cat5=Health
cat6=Music
cat7=Racing
cat8=Role-Playing
cat9=Simulation
cat10=Sports
cat11=Strategy

Since there was more in the XML, anything that is not 1,2,3 or 5,6,7,8,9,10,11 I added to category 4 - general. I really wanted to setup these additional categories:

cat12=Traditional
cat13=Theme
cat14=Others
cat15=-Rating: Early Childhood
cat16=-Rating: Everyone
cat17=-Rating: Everyone 10+
cat18=-Rating: Teen
cat19=-Rating: Mature
cat20=-Rating: Adults Only

If someone could add additional categories in WiiFlow and/or change the screen so it splits the categories out like in CFG that would be awesome.

The XML I used was from the US XML file on WiiTDB.com. Sorry for the English focus :(

I just pulled down the latest complete XML from GameTDB and ran it through the util and came up with this updated categories.ini:

http://uploading.com/files/b13em5d6/categories.ini/

I'm hoping to get some more free time in the coming weeks and I'll try to finish the app and send it out for review.
