r-win, thanks for fixing the cheats bug and all the others you fixed as well. I have found another problem with cheats. It is with the nightmare Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. I downloaded and activated cheats for this game, there are only two cheats. If I enable them the game will not play. It goes immediately to black screen and I have to restart the Wii to recover. Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but just thought I should pass it on.

I dont have that game, but from topics/what ive read around it seems to a specifically problematic game to launch from USB, and it will not work with hooks like the returnto channel option. Have you tried using different hook types? Im not sure if this makes any difference, but im honestly not suprised it doesnt load with ocarina either. Dont know if its a bug in wiiflow...more of the title's piracy measures perhaps?

I'd be happy to do this for you possibly tomorrow, i have a PAL 4.2 Wii and the internet channel was downloaded from the Wii Shop, I posted my Stack dump on the previous page. I've never extracted a wad before but how hard can it be! I'll work it out and then post back with the details.

Get a copy off Wad Creator V1 by Waninkoko. This app will allow you to dump the Internet Channel to a Wad. FYI for me I have to dump to SD card because when I select USB Mass Storage Device or USB 2.0 Mass Storage Device I get an error mounting the device. It will also fail with an error -1017 if you try and dump any IOS contructed with a base of 57. I wish Waninkoko would update this app to fix these problems.

Plasma, I think the bug is already fixed. It had nothing to do with the Internet Channel. That was just a coïncidence. It had everything to do with a wrongly allocated buffer to be freed. Anyway, thanks for the offer, and if ppl still have this bug, we have to re-investigate.

I think you need the OSSThreadSleep hook, but I'm not sure. It's not a problem with wiiflow though. This behavior is from PoP, because they do a memory check (to see if it's modified). As long as that check is not patched, this behavior can be expected.

Thanks for your replies Skater4599 and r-win. My hook type is set to VBI for PoP. I just tried all the available hook types including disabled and get the same result. I have a clean non patched iso and use Disable DVD Patch - ON and Disable Return To - Off. These settings gets the game running normally. It is only when I enable Ocarina and cheats that the game fails with the black screen.

I have to confess that I do not understand what the hook types do. I am also puzzled as to how they get set? If I examine the settings for my games I see that most of them have hook type set to disabled. But PoP and a few others have hook type set to VBI. I would guess that disabled is the default for hook type but how did the other games get set to VBI? Does Wiiflow set the hook type on a game by game basis? Please advise...

I am running R74 Beta. There seems to be a problem with cheat codes. I turn on Ocarina for a game and then download the cheat codes. By default the codes are all turned off. I then turn on all of the codes. Once the codes are turned on there seems to be no way of turning them off. I turn them all off and then apply the changes but when I come back in they are all turned on again. The changes do not stick. This seems to also cause a problem with the Ocarina setting for a game. I believe this is directly related to the individual codes not being able to be turned off. If I have Ocarina turned off and turn off all the individual codes, then the Ocarina setting gets switched to on. This is probably how it should work. When turning individual codes on/off, if all codes are off then Ocarina should be set to off if at least one code is on the Ocarina should be set to on. I suspect that once on/off is fixed for the individual codes then Ocarina will behave correctly.
I mentioned this to r-win on IRC earlier, it seems its alraedy been fixed and will be in the next release. Which should be bug free
smile.gif
I also mentioned adding a way to re-download the txt file, but it will not be in this next release as he is not adding new features/buttons, now is only fixing any bugs found.

The gct gets deleted now if all cheats are off, so next time it will let you download them again. If you want to keep the gct, disable ocarina instead.

Prince of persia just is very difficult to get cheats wrong on, and i havent heard of anyone being able to cheat on it without a gecko.

Use bluedump, wad creater is way out of date.

But wiiflow only download the txt file, not the gct file. So, I don't think so.

After it downloads the txt file and you apply what cheats you want it creates the gct file. So, I think so

Try it

Download codes for a game you know you do not have codes for on your hard drive or sd card and then apply some of the cheats
Then check the :\apps\wiiflow\codes folder and you will see the gct file there.

In either case, i was talking about re-downloading the .txt file NOT the .gct file. The .gct is created by wiiflow from the txt file it downloaded earlier, so while the .gct gets deleted, the txt file (Your list of available cheats to turn off/on) does not change. But as this warrants another new button in the cheats screen, it will not be added at this time, for good reason. For now you can just manually delete the .txt file with wiixplorer or a pc

This is not my point. What I mean is as long as the txt file exists, there is no download button to press.

I use the latest R43 version (IOS 222 boot.dol) and I want to know if there is a way to change the default IOS for running games to IOS-223. The problem is that all the games in the 2nd WBFS partition on the USB HDD ran only if I switch the IOS from «DEFAULT» to «IOS-223» in the game settings. I want a way to set globaly the IOS to 223 for all games ... Please someone help !

Anyone for help please !

The only way is to change the setting manually for every game I'm afraid. You could try using 249 though, see if that works for you.

This is terrible ! Please someone confirm that the games in a second WBFS partition load only with IOS-223 .. Its a major problem if we cant set IOS-223 for running games globaly in the second WBFS partition. Can someone fix this ;

Thats not a major problem, if you cant run games from wbfs unless they are running ios223 then your softmod is wrong. Also, dont keep bumping your posts like that to get an answer, if someone felt the need to answer it the first time we would have responded. This is not a wiiflow problem and wiiflow booting on ios223 will never be available precompiled. If you want that compile it yourself.
