Possibly a bad cache copy. Try deleting all files in your wiiflow/cache.

I'm scared to run Wiiflow anymore (even though it is my favorite looking loader) as I ran it for the first time on my Wii U the other day, installed a game and it formatted my drive (wiping all of my games) to ntfs and installed the game to a wbfs file on the ntfs drive.. Has anyone seen this? This really stinks for me as many of the games were for my kids and i cant find the disc for 2 of them they play all the time.

Was your drive FAT32 or NTFS before?

actually, SOME homebrew is compatible with larger HDD's. WiiFlow is but some of it's plugins are not (and even then I'm sure some of it depends on what cIOS you have installed.)

I run a 4TB drive with a single FAT32 partition and pretty much everything works fine. A long time ago I messed with mixed partitions and didn't have good results so always format everything as a single FAT32 volume now.

For some emulators that don't work on the large drives I keep a 32GB SD card around and run it from there and then most everything works.

Boston OK! I try to format only one FAT 32 Partition but i dont load GC games because i have to format in FAT32 32k. More one question: And if i use two HDD´s in WII : is it possible? I use port 0 to put HDD 3 tb with Wii Games and in the port 1 other HDD 2 tb with my wiiflow and plugiins. if it is possible ? How i do to configure the wiiflow.ini?

GC games will only run under a drive with low level 512 byte sector formatting. All 3 and 4TB drives currently shipping (and some 2TB drives) have advanced formatting with 1024 or 4096 byte sectors so they won't work with DIOS MIOS.

To find out if your drive has low level 512 byte sectors use this command:

using win7 and command line

X:\>wmic DISKDRIVE get bytespersector, caption

resulting:
BytesPerSector Caption

"512 <device name>"

If it doesn't say 512 it's not compatible with the current version of DIOS MIOS.

I have run Wii games from port 1 and GC games from port 0 but you need to the alt CIOS's which allow access to the 2nd port and then setup the Wii games on USB port 1 in the settings menu.

 what do you do about gamecube games? Do you constantly have to switch hdds?

EDIT: Ninja'd

No, if you have a 512byte low level drive in port 0 it works fine.

I like collecting more than anything else and toying with things.. the kids have a drive on their Wii with all the games they want. I have the big drive on my Wii :)

I have a 4TB drive for everything. I hold my raw GC images there and then move them to a 32GB SD card if I want to play anything.

For some emu games that don't run nicely on a large drive I copy them to the SD card. I haven't found anything yet that doesn't work in that manner.

I can't keep all my GC games online at the same time but that's not a big deal for me.

At some point if nintendont or another option allows me to play them from the 4TB drive I'll be in heaven :)

I've 2 drives, 1 for Wii games and the other for GC, NAND and Emulators etc. I don't really use the SD except for admin stuff and older homebrew that won't run from USB.

I was thinking of buying a larger drive, and I wasn't aware of this issue, so this is excellent timing! :)

What's the upper limit of drive size before these problems start?

I was also wondering which plugins and homebrew are effected?

edit: I wonder if the authors of the effected homebrew are aware of the issue - is it easily solvable or a hardcore rewrite?
