Hey everyone!

I was just wondering how to add cheat codes manually, since it doesn't seem to be working for me. I've tried renaming, and moving files to seperate locations like E:\Codes and E:\WiiFlow\gct and even E:\WiiFlow\. I've also tried using both the gct & txt file formats, but whenever I use something besides the downloaded version nothing comes up. I'd appreciate a little help here :D, I want to get SSBB hacks up and running!

- Oh, I'm also using the current WiiFlow version if that helps any.

You can do it in two was:

1. copy the gct file directly to the "\wiiflow\codes\gct" folder.
2. download the game cheat txt file from geckocodes.org and copy it to "\wiiflow\codes\"
This way you can choose the cheats in the game settings..

good day guys!!!

i just install wiiflow but wiiflow cannot detech my hdd games whats the problem.. i hope u can help me im a noob at wii.. thanks!! :(
I'm having the same problem....I've been updating all my friends' Wii's to all the latest homebrew etc. and no matter what I try this new wiiflow (417) won't recognized the hdd's. They are all formated to fat32 with wbfs file containing all previously working games. All existing homebrew works fine. I've tried deleting all wiiflow folders and starting from scratch, to no avail. The furthest I got one time was that wiiflow loaded up but only showed my wii channels...no access to hdd. Then on restart it didn't even get that far, just right back to the error saying it can't mount or no partition. The only thing that's seemed to work is to backup the wbfs folder with wii backup manager....erase the wbfs folder off the hdd....then use wii backup manager to transfer all the games back over to the hdd. About a 6-8 hour process. I've got to be missing something. I saw that someone asked the other guy what cios he was using....these wii's are freshly updated with all the mod any wii files, and I'm using the .dol from the main drop box at wiiflowiki. Any ideas

I had same problem when updating to new version..

The issue I found was the hard drive now needs to be partitioned differently, or at least thats what worked for me..

Part 1: FAT32 for Apps & wiiflow folder
Part2: NTFS for wbfs folder with games

Format the hard drive using above info ( Iuse easus partition master)
Create 2 folders on part1 (fat32): apps>wiiflow & wiiflow thats 3 folders
Open folder apps/wifflow and copy the boot.dol (r415)
Create folder on ntfs: wbfr , or copy you games folder into it

You should have only 1 file i all the folders: boot.dol

I would recommend starting from scratch and have all the titles and covers reload, if not..I have had corrupt covers

Just connect the hard drive and start the channel

The only real issue I had changing over..was the need for another large hard drive to complete the swap

Edit to my original post...just deleting the wbfs folder and restoring in fact does NOT resolve the issue of wiiflow 417 not recognizing a previously working wbfs folder. The only solution I have been able to find IS to reformat hard drive and start from scratch. In my case I WAS still able to use 1 fat32 partition....as I've done since the beginning of fat32 support. So my question remains, why does wiiflow 417 not recognize a fat32 wbfs folder that was working just fine back on wiiflow v2.1, without a complete reformat and reinstallation. For those curious, I reiterate that I have attempted work arounds like deleting all wiiflow files and deleting/restoring wbfs folder. Thanks for any advice.

anyone have idea in solving the error -6 problem? thanks..
I have posted about the set usb error -6 a page or 2 back. I think? Issue is with usb save emu hopefully I can help you work around and get the games working. Cause it seems random kinda startup bug and should not happen after you fix this.

Basically its a bug caused by a slightly incomplete first attempt saving to your emu nand.
You will need to delete the games folder from your emu nand and then load it again and allow it to create a fresh game dir (it will not have been created properly previously and the incomplete game folder causes the error).

The place you wanna look for the games folder is Nand/Title/00010000/ and delete the appropriate folder.
Reboot wii, make sure savegame emulation is on try again.
If it still fails, turn savegame emulation off, load the game then try above steps again.

I found its best to let wiiflow create a new folder for each game. If you already have saves you wanna use then replace the appropriate files.

Mariokart is actually one of the only games that doesn't work 100% with savegame emulation but the games playable... I noticed something wrong testing the options normally accessable from the mk channel (eg competitions, ghost data) when I tried, some of those options would not work.
Wiiflow is creating a folder inside /00010000 for some reason. It should always read/write to the folder inside /00010004. This I think could be fixed, Mariokart saves everything in 00010004 because games with channels do not store data in /00010000. I've posted the info back a page or two.

Thanks, I did two things at once and it magically worked for me:
1. Use gx to dump the saves to the same nand dump again
2. compile the latest wiiflow svn myself

But now the problem is...(someone already asked before) how to enable NAND save emu in all games without clicking one-by-one?
and the startup time for r417 is slower than r415...

what version of wiiflow do you use? you have all the Cios's installed properly?
I have all current Cios's, I am using build 415 I believe. Should i just delete it completely and redownload all files for wiiflow again.. // sigh//

2. compile the latest wiiflow svn myself
Hi, could you please see if it works with the normal dol from the dropbox too? I finally wanna know if they are problems with the libogc svn vs the regular libogc, I had a talk with miigotu about it long time ago and he said as long as they are no problems I can use the svn, but maybe we have a problem here.

I tried using the nightly dropbox one, it gave me the same set usb error: -6
after I restored to my own compiled version, it crashed suddenly all the time when scrolling the games  ... solved by deleting the settings file

btw I followed the steps in http://code.google.com/p/wiiflow/source/browse/wiki/InstructionsCompilingWiiflow.wiki?r=26 to compile my own .dol, except I go download the newest devkitppc

So, I'm having troubles with Wiiflow. Tried both with the latest release and the 417.dol one. My problem is, that Wiiflow does not recognize my FAT32 USB harddrive. It just pops up that it can't find any games and asks me if I want to install or choose another partition. USB Loader GX and CFG finds the harddrive just fine, but I really like how Wiiflow feels and looks, so I'd be glad if I could get it useable.

Yeah I don't mean the nightly I mean the stable one. The nighly is a newer version than the source code.
Thanks, the r417 in drop box worked fine for me
however, when I installed some wiiware into the emu nand, wiiflow crashed (stack dump) when switched to show the emu nand game list
(eg Tales of Monkey Island Ep 4 & 5 PAL)

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.
