I'll let miigotu put the formals on here but here's a quick changelog from google code page.

Wiiflow 2.1 release.
Code:
Updater fully functional and has hosting.
Fix reported bugs since 2.0. Ability to sort games by 4 different settings, Press B+Down.
Ability to switch partition by Pressing B+Up in main screen.
More fixes and small additions.

I've been testing for them since 2.0 and so far on WBFS this is working great, sorting issues fixed, cover delay showing fixed nice shortcut keys, it seems a well polished release thus far.

Great Job r-win and Miigotu

Well it's about time, I mean Wiiflow 2.0 has been out for like two or three weeks now. How long between releases.

Ya Right! LOL

Great work guys.

Hello everybody. Just stoping by to say that you guys really did a nice job! I was the one responsible for the brazilian portuguese translation in the first wiiflow version, and i just updated it to the latest release (according to the wiki). To whom should i send the file?

I've been using 2.0 since it came out and am about to upgrade to 2.1... can I just copy it in and overwrite everything or should I delete eeeeeeeeverything and start fresh... or just copy in the dol? Thanks for keeping up the awesome work!

copy dol and delete your wiiflow.ini file.
Remember this file is under SD:\apps\wiiflow\ or USB:\apps\wiiflow\

You dont need to delete your covers or anything, but do delete your .ini files and replace, changes were made to how its written to them so to avoid clutter and unused stuff causing slow downs or problems, delete them.

Wiiflow 2.1 released
This version has some important updates and bug fixes since the 2.0 version.
A very short and incomplete list of changes:

* Online updater/version changer
* Various fanart fixes
* Added Sorting functions by playcount, last played, game id, and alphabetical (switch by pressing B+Down
* Ability to set number of categories with numcategories=
* Updated language.ini file (Jiiwah: French, PizzaPino: German, divi90: Italian,
Pakatus: Portuguese, Etheboss: Dutch, Ravmn: Spanish, Roku93: Finnish, Kavid: Chinese, [More..Sorry if I forgot you])
*Fix reported bugs since WiiFlow 2.0

The themes from both Jiiwah and Benjay have been updated to fully support this release. These themes are not in the packages for this release. You can find them easily on http://wiiflowiki.com

| cIOS 249 version | cIOS 250 version | cIOS 222 version | cIOS 223 version | cIOS 224 version

Due to a lot of changes, also in the configuration files, you might experience problems when you upgrade your current version to this new version.
If you were already on 2.1, try just replacing all the files with the ones in the update package.
In case you experience unexpected behavior, or a code dump, please try to start from fresh.

As always, you can enter bugs on our issue tracker at google code, or on IRC (Preferred) at irc://irc.abjects.net/#wiiflow
Coders: r-win, Miigotu, Hulk

(Sorry I was late on posting this, but I fell asleep on keyboard after upping the files

Do u mean I must put my wii in the fridge before pushing start button ? Maybe you're right cause this summer is very hot here and it can cause system hazzard bugs

We still have some big plans that are gonna take awhile, but this updater was a very important step. We need to be able to serve ppl the latest without much hassle, especially when we make changes so fast.

For the updater I want to expand upon it in a later release, to update meta.xml, icon.png, language.ini, and any other file as well that we need to keep ppl up to date on.

The good thing is we can make an update with the new updater first, and then the next update give updates on those files.

We have a new official forwarder in the works, and a channel. Also a new icon and some other things.

anyways, popularity and page views are really picking up. I decided to come and help on this project because imho its the best looking one and I was afraid r-win would stop at just adding fat support, LOL. If that happened I was afraid WiiFlow would die. I know some ppl were upset that we were adding new features, but without keeping in step with other loaders, we, like wbfs, become obsolete.

The key here is to keep all those new features seemless with the original look and feel of wiiflow, which is always our goal when planning a new feature.

We are gonna put up the readme's and txt files to be editted on the wiiflowiki, to give a more complete documentation to each release. I can let whoever wishes to help have access to mod the page, all it takes it to pm me with your google ID. www.wiiflowiki.com

2.1 is better than ever! Nice work r-win and Mugotu. I was wondering if there are any plans to make returnto= in wiiflow.ini a GUI configurable setting? It would be nice if we did not have to manually edit wiiflow.ini at all. Perhaps this could be a setting that allows the user to select from a list of installed channels or pop up a keyboard for data entry. BTW what does exit_to_wii_menu= in Wiiflow.ini control? Does this setting have any effect on the value of returnto=? Thanks and keep up the good work...

There already is/has been a button for that, it selects a list of installed channels, but its hidden to users with cIOS's with 57 base, you cannot use that with that button or channels list.

Im going to be making an update soon, only on the update feature, to get everyone used to using it.

It will include:
a way to update txt cheat files
change the System button to say Update
debugger select button in game settings (wiired, other debuggers, dunno if it will work yet)

I'm having some issues with the channel loaders. If I have wiiflow setup to load at start-up (by-passing the system menu when I turn the wii on) the official ones will not load, just simply reboot the wii. If I boot to the system menu and load wiiflow using the forwarder, they work. I'm not sure if this is just how it works, or if i'm doing something wrong. I have used the "modify any wii 4.2" tutorial to get everything up to date. What other things should I take a look at?
Hmm, this may be useful information you have provided here. We are well aware of an issue with loading channels, but we couldnt track it down. r-win is planning on rewriting the channel loading entirely for other reasons but that should fix this issue.
MMM, i don't think so, i use the same setup and Cios rev19 249.
Don't have that problem i think, gonna test it tonight and let you know. I will include a syslog file of the IOSes i have installed.

Edit: For the full picture - Also used a "modify any wii 4.2" tutorial from wiihacks, after that updated my wii with pimpmywii (i know, don't use that anymore).
I was wrong, if i bypass the system menu i can only start homebrew channels

We have a pattern here, what version of priiloader do you have?

Seems something is different in memory that the channels dont like if you autoboot into something other than sysmenu that would have to be patched. The good neews is this whole feature is going to be rewritten soon which makes this a null issue.

Also, EtheBoss, DOP-Mii generates a much more useful report, just an fyi.

Not sure if this was solved yet since I haven't updated, but for anyone still having this problem try formatting your hard drive to fat32.

Skater4599,

The channel button allows you to run any of your installed channels it does not change the returnto= value in wiiflow.ini. returnto= is used to return to wiiflow after playing a game instead of returning to the system menu.

There is a button in the configuration already to set where it returns to when you exit a game.

TLDR: I have to point wiiflow Manually to my ntfs partition every time it starts. How do i fix this

Here is my current set up: 1TB drive with about 900gb NTFS as the first partition (with wiiflow and backups installed on it) and the rest as a 2nd fat32 partition

Dont ask why I set it up that way and i'm by no means married to it (its a long story how i got to this point).

Now i've browsed the boards here and saw someone recommend the fat32 be first but the same post implied that wiiflow needed to be there as well which i sorta beleive not to be the case anymore.

Once i select NTFS within wiiflow i can see my games fine.

thanks for the awesome work you guys do.

Yes, but im saying that both the channels button and returnto button that flips through your list of installed channels to select one, are hidden with a 57 base IOS, 57 base does not have the proper nand permissions patches to get the channel list and therefore is hidden when used.
