Homebrew Wii64 controller config question

I recently tried the "Not64" version of this emulator, and discovered that some of the AKI wrestling games actually run pretty great. However, I have an issue with the controller config.

When I press forward on the dpad for any game (using the classic controller) it acts as one of the yellow C buttons. I'm not sure how to fix this, and the config menu makes it seem as if it's set up properly. Any ideas?

didnt most N64 games have the same actions mapped to the D-Pad as the C-Buttons?

If the game is controlled by the analog, sure. The wrestling games use the dpad for movement. So pressing right makes the wrestler run forward, instead of walking forward. And in some games (Fighter's Destiny being one) pressing right does nothing at all, when it normally would move forward.

i'm sure you can change that in the Wii64 settings though.

I've tried it multiple times, so I'm at a loss. It says that right on the dpad is "D PAD RIGHT" when in reality, it's UP-C" I tried changing it multiple times, but it doesn't seem to take effect.
