Hacking Wii Update 4.2 from SD

Im tired of DLing the update everytime, is there a way to install the update from SD instead of waiting for it to download everytime I mod a wii?

My internet conection is slow and it sometimes takes alsmot 30 minutes just to DL the update so I was wondering if there is a way to just DL the update and install it from the SD card or does that involve a ton of seprate wad installs depending on what version the wii is at?

it would be nice to have some kind of auto updater that installs what ever is needed...

Get wads of System Menu 4.2 and IOS70 and keep them on your SD card.

Oh wow, I found the answer I was looking for...
I knew I read it somewhere B4...

IOS70-64-v6687.wad
& System Menu-NUS-v481.wad [NTSC-J = v480; PAL = v482]
Then proceed to install the remaining 36 different IOS files & Shopping Channel-NUS-v18.wad


So ya, its a pain.
Just wait for the DL and have a cup of coffee!

Well, you don't need those 36 different IOS files. The only useful ones would be Sm4.2, IOS70, IOS61, and the Shop Channel.

So if im on 3.2U I could run install
hackmii & homebrew
do the trucha bug
install wads;
System Menu-NUS-v481.wad
IOS61-64-v5405.wad
IOS70-64-v6687.wad
and Shopping Channel-NUS-v18.wad
then do the deleter & finish things up?
or would I have to do trucha again after I installed SM4.2 and all that?
or is it even easier then that?

[edit: I dont need the shoping channel either do I?]

Ok, next Wii I do, backup the NAND and im guna give this a try...
