i've been reading people who says that piracy (in the thread) is morally incorrect, well, i would like to see how many songs, movies, TV series, books etc they've downloaded already.

Please, of course piracy is wrong but tbh, i think a full working USB loader would help nintendo to sell more wiiUs xD

completely agree. as from some articles ive been reading nintendo really are giving up with the wii u :( the only thing that would help with sales know is homebrew and a usbloader. i doubt many more games will be released on it (zelda is already being delayed and maybe because it wont see a wii u release) sighhh

that's exactly what i thought, im afraid they will launch that NX project with the new Zelda and they let wiiU to die

they may release zelda for the wii u still as it would be a massive put down for the fans if they dont. but would also be a sneaky move to entise people on gettin the new NX and also means they actually have a proper game to release on the day of the console release. unlike the wii u!!! lets hope they dont f!?k this one up lol

Yeah Wii U is done, Aonuma words pretty much closed the system fate, I think they are stealthy moving proyects to NX, they always can pull a Twilight Princess and release tje game in both Wii U/NX, but I find it hard to accomplish due the difference in architecture ex. Ninty moving away Power PC CPUs, GCN/Wii shared a similar architecture.

as far as im aware it is already designed for the wii u (pre-orders where open not long ago) so basically it wouldnt be a problem having a release on both console's. it would just purely be down to nintendo's decission (like i said moving it to the NX so people move with it) but i hope its released on the wii u. as thats the main bloody reason i got the piece of crap lol

That's great and all but we've had this exact discussion before, not everyone lives in the US.
IOSU exploit and region free loaders to the rescue! Lol think its gonna be a while before we see that but I cant wait<3

I can't remember, but has it been determined whether or not region-free could be accomplished with just a kernel exploit? That'd be cool if that was the case!

On the other hand, that would mean that exploiting IOSU really would only have the purpose of loading backups/pirated copies

We map the loader as R/W, so yes, of course it is. That's how we plan to replace it :P
EDIT: Actually I'm not sure how much the loader handles and how much IOSU handles

I have an 8 year old in my house, this is one of the major reasons i support legitimate backups. Perhaps you dont have any young children at home, but i for one know the $60 makes for a pretty expensive frisbee, but lets agree to disagree :p

I agree with you, I have two kids & i've already had to replace one copy of mario kart 8. Having my collection on a hdd would save me £££'s

Would you still need a IOSU exploit to run a emunand? There was talk of the wiiu going that way a while back.

I really don't understand this. I thought my younger brother from the day he was ready to play games, how to hold a game, and how to insert it, and why this and that is so bad. All my discs are scratch-less and he's still only 7.

I want to be able to back up my games to the HDD and play them off there. I love digital games, since they are all on screen, and easy to select. I actually bought windwaker twice to have the disc and digital copy ^.^
