Hello, guys. I just got this problem with my Wii U: its HDMI output stopped working with 720p, 1080i or 1080p. The console auto set to 1080p and doesn't detect the issue, but no image on TV, 720p sometimes get a flicker image, but usually gets a black screen, and no sound either. It works properly on 480p, using both the component cable or HDMI cable. What could be the problem, the Ci Panasonic (responsible for the HDMI), the HDMI connector, or the Wii U processor? Does someone else here's got this problem before? The cable or TV are working fine, just tested with another Wii U. Thanks for any information.

That issue is due to the Panasonic IC or the coils protecting that chip. The problem arises because the TV where you connect the Wii U has a short in the HDMI port, causing damage to the coils and consequently cutting the video signal. You need to disassemble the console and check that the coils are functioning. If they're not, you have to bridge them to restore the image. If it still doesn't display an image, you should replace the Panasonic IC responsible for processing the console's video output. This problem is common in various consoles, such as the PS3, PS4, and Wii U. Regards.
