Wii U HBL suddenly not booting apps

I've had my Wii U on cfw since about May of 2020, and have been using it fine ever since, including stuff in the HBL up until yesterday when I used it to boot into Retroarch to play a game. As of today, however, the HBL seems to not want to work. I can get it to load the screen showing all the apps and navigate it just fine, but as soon as I click "Load" on an app, it freezes. I've tried redownloading the HBL, I've tried deleting everything in the apps folder except HBL, I've tried launching all sorts of different apps...at this point I'm out of ideas. Can anyone help me fix this menu so I can use my Wii U to its full potential again?

Not sure about that but the first thing I would try is changing the CFW (which also updates HBL) :

Apon testing it further, apps seem to work just fine when booted through the HBL in Mii Maker, but even after deleting and reinstalling the channel on the home menu, apps on there just won't work
