He's using it as a form of reference, it's not him attempting to gloat or anything.
It's shorter than writing "on that bug which was posted earlier by me?" since he has only posted one 'bug'. It's simpler for everybody if he labels it as such.
No confusing references in between, just solid information.

Please let us just not argue semantics, and keep the discussion civil.

He has posted multiple times asking about the "the" bug when he was already told to pm a dev.

He has been doing it for attention whether it's on purpose or not.

I wasn't trying to nit pick how he wrote his sentences but it could be written shorter with the same output.

Any info on my bug
Any info on the bug I found

I don't see the problem with typing 6 extra letters.

Each to his own opinion I suppose.

Will the kernel exploit need to be changed to work on 5.3.2? (I know obviously the webkit exploit for it is still a work in progress & is yet to be confirmed as working)

I believe the phrase "pics or it didn't happen" applies here :P
more accurate terminology is
tits or it didn't happen

What are the major benefits to a kernel exploit anyways over userspace? The only 2 I know for certain are SD card access and different controllers in-game, but there have to be more specific elements that make the kernel exploit desirable (sd card access is a big one though, we would quickly run out of interesting homebrew if we couldn't load files).
And crwys, if you can't make posts that aren't attacks against me/ the_randomizer, please leave.

Full access to the Wii U's hardware :). Of course lots of work will have to be done to use it to its full potential but its not going to happen with Userland exploits alone. Kernel access is needed for that :D

This would include RAM access and playing online without updating? (I hope my question will/can be answered this time)

While I was proven wrong the last time I said no, I'm going to say no. I don't think FW modification is possible with kernel.
And on the topic of downgrading, has anyone looked into nintendo server spoofing with encrypted lower FW versions to downgrade?

That really sucks, as newer games like Xenoblade Chronicles X will have a newer firmware meaning those who want to play are essentially shit out of luck, or any 2015 game for that matter. That doesn't bode well for those who want new games and a hacked console, does it not? Yeah, hacked console users are f*cked.

good old days when only modchip makers existed and, even if you had to pay a certain ammount to play all the games, you'd never have to worry about someone else calling you a pirate, because that concept was still very green and was only later better implemented by the media and the game industries to brainwash the minds of those who pirated the games. what keeps me from pirating a game and then, if i like it, buy it? and what if i don't buy it, will i blame it on piracy?

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Xdqwerty, So old-skool.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    Yea ps3HEN is fine, don't mess with what's not broken. The HEN version irc is for the super Slims, and CFW (evilnat) for other models
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ, also what are the differences with ps3hen and evilnat?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    They both basically do the same
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
    @BigOnYa ice cream cake is fucked either way

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ,
    @BigOnYa ok i read that the super slim model (the one i have) isnt compatible with cfw and that "HEN is the next best thing, it is a semi jailbreak applied on top of the OFW system software, it is geared towards console models that aren't CFW compatible, you can run homebrew, play backups but you cannot use customised system files & must reapply your customisations & HEN after every boot."
