/*<speculation type=high> *Maybe* Nintendo won't patch it as they **may** have finished supporting WiiU </speculation>*/
They still want to get money off of it, so they wanna make damn sure that the vast majority doesn't get a chance to use any exploit!
@JaceCearK1 is right. Patching it is in their best interest. Once exploits come out. Their sales drop immensely. But. I also use em, so, I'm guilty too. I did buy shovel knight though. So that's my "I'm ok" card. :)

having fun trying to port retroarch, shows up in hbl now at least :)

edit: its a pipe dream, converting all wii gx function to wii u gx2, its beyond my capability.

No. This was the only Kexploit we have on latest. Mario and Nwp and Rean wanted to make sure they had more options before they had sent out this exploit. Now ninty will patch it, and we wont be working on Latest FW.

It doesn't need to work on the next firmware. Everyone can just install this and not update.

So, my sister lent out her Wii-U to me to hack. I installed Loadiine, and been playing the shit out of Hyrule Warriors. I noticed the game saves to the SD card. Now, for my question! I plan to buy a Wii-U in the future, and my question is, is there a way to get my Hyrule Warriors save data to my future Wii-U? Could I just transfer my Hyrule Warriors file to my PC, and place it onto my future SD card? I know the 3DS is a bit more complex.

you can use saviine app that lets you inject saves in the wiiu memory or take them out but you need a save of the game first so yeah keep your save then play it on the wiiu until it saves and then search for saviine app.

Well, it even work on New 3DS so. The Wii U is like 100x more powerful.
It's not about the powerfulness, it's about the pixel count and bandwidth!
The 3DS has two 400x240 screens (2*96,000 = 192,000 pixels) for the 3D-display + the 320x240 TouchScreen (76,800 pixels) = 268,800 pixels. Compared to WiiU's 921,600 pixels in 720p or 2,073,600 in 1080p.
One pixel in RGBa is stored in 32bits (4 bytes), so we've got to multiply pixelcount by 4, which leaves us with:

3DS (w/ 1 3D screen): 691,200 bytes (~675kB) * 60fps = 39.56MB/s * 60 = 2,373.6MB/min (2.32GB/min)
3DS (w/ 2 3D screens): 1,075,200 bytes (1050kB) * 60fps = 61.52MB/s * 60 = 3,691.41MB/min (3,61GB/min)
WiiU 720p: 3,686,400 bytes (~3,600kB) * 60fps = 210MB/s * 60 = 12600MB/min (12GB/min)
WiiU 1080p: 8,294,400 bytes (~8,100kB) * 60fps = 474MB/s * 60 = 28440MB/min (27GB/min)

WiiU 480p(GamePad): 1,639,680 bytes (~1601kB) * 60fps = 96MB/s * 60 = 5760MB/min (5GB/min)

The WiiU's WLAN Adapter struggles with getting stable 4MB/s already, so getting raw HD Video via WLAN is nearly impossible!
Maybe one day you can connect your PC to the WiiU's Antennas that usually connect to the Gamepad, but that's loooooong in the future! ;)

Edit: I hope, everything's fixed now! It's 10pm here, I need sleep! :wtf:

Not what I'm talking about, I'm talking about development and research.
They can continue to search for new exploits on the old firmware too. There is too much emphasis on looking for backup kexploits right now. What we really need is to be focusing on IOSU, and then a bootloader hack. We need the Wii U equivalent of a9hl and cia. That's never going to happen with the big guys being so secretive.

Besides, in another year, the big guys will switch to NX anyways. So we really need to be getting new talent into the Wii U scene, to allow people like smea to focus on the NX.

Trust me when I say theres people that are more than capable working right now on IOSU, and they arent 'big guys'

If GX2 is too much you can always change the project to C++ and steal the "video" and "gui" folders from HBL - It's what I'm doing ;D

What about video compression?

Is it true, If i played a game and want another game to play. I must hardboot the device again and do the loadiine.ovl thing again(illuminati) and go back to HBL or else it wont boot. Sometimes it stays at the wii u menu white screen, but wii logo right beneath. Hope there is an easier way. Thanks!!
