Well it was revealed already, no? So i'm assuming 5.6 or whatever is next will patch it. I'm in no rush though. At least until the next Smash Bros DLC fighter is released...

Why the is the kernel exploit freezing up, but not spouting out any errors?

Something is very wrong here. Normally an error telling me to enter the system settings would show up and try again, nope, nothing, it just hangs there. What the hell?

Anyone have any ideas?

Edit: Something is NOT right here. None of the hosted exploits work, they just lock up the console, I fear the worst has happened with my Wii U and that it may be on the real 5.5.0

Happens to me a lot, don't worry. When I was trying to get into the eshop yesterday, I got freezes loads of times, and only got an error saying the exploit hadn't worked a few times. Kept going, worked in the end.

Yea, the latest kernel exploit can just freeze without saying anything. I've had this happen on the others too though.

I think what he meant and what I would say too myself is, we don't want this thread to be a piracy discussion, because we wanna avoid the flood of piracy/backups debates. It's more beneficial to leave this thread exclusively for useful Wii U hacking information.
