Waiting for the webkit exploit to be patched to release it? You have got to be kidding!

inb4morals.

It will be released when it is patched, or when we have a decent solution for avoiding updates, including a permanent exploit and/or firmware spoofing and/or an emuNAND.

Seriously, instead of complaining on gbatemp, why not send e-mails to Nintendo telling them to update their WebKit? :P It would be more productive.
You actually have a good idea :P go ask nintendo people!

Eventually, when it's patched in later versions.
Does this mean that it's OK that I'm on version 5.5.0, and don't update further?

I mean if I wanted an exploit I'm very well aware that I shouldn't have updated past 5.3, so please don't bring that up. It's just a genuine question

Has caffeine been publicly released yet?
Not "publicly", I don't think, I accidentally shared it because of a miscommunication so it's floating around somewhere, but it doesn't have the 5.3.2 updates. I'll go ask chadderz if he can set something official up.

"5.4 users, just be patient and wait for the release"
*waits for release*
RELEASE IS HERE
"But 5.4 users will have to wait until Nintendo patches it. Then we'll release it."

Well, you shouldn't have updated to 5.4.0. There were multiple times, on this thread, that mentioned the fact 5.4.0's exploit was very unstable and incomplete, yet you still updated despite the warnings made. You made your bed, now lie in it.

I DIDN'T UPDATE! How many damn times do I have to repeat myself: OpenDNS ninja'd me via a router reset. Now I have my Wii U un-connected from the internet.

So is there still any hope for 5.4.0? (Hard to tell as some threads indicate a somewhat glitchy webkit exploit while others scream the "Shouldn't 'ave updated m8" thing without much clarity) Otherwise do new wii u consoles ship with a <5.3.2 firmware?

Ah. That's incredibly dissapointing. I hadn't really seen much about the hack until after I had upgraded and I've had the Wii U offline since hoping for more news. Mainly just interested in ROM injection and Caffeiine looks promising.

Then after 5.4.0's browser exploit gets released everybody's going to be agitated over the 5.5.0 kernel exploit (or the IOSU exploit) and complain it's taking forever and that it'll never release... It's never going to end, is it :P (Also, theoretically, what would it take for an emuNAND to be created?)

Nope. They're waiting until Nintendo patches the exploit. Now they're also waiting until they have "more" exploits.

I'm super excited they hyped up 5.4 mods. Not!
They're waiting for ONE of several things, not both. There was four 'or's in there not four 'and's. Quit acting like a spoilt 3 year old who can't wait a few weeks, heck, IIRC the kernel exploit wasn't even going to be released today or anytime soon. And who cares if there were hyping it, I've been hyped for games that ended up getting delayed for over a year. They'll release it when the time is right. (I'm on 5.4.0 as well)
It will be released when it is patched, OR when we have a decent solution for avoiding updates, including a permanent exploit and/OR firmware spoofing and/OR an emuNAND, OR when we have multiple 5.4.0 exploits. In that case, releasing one is fine.
