that will take a long time lol,smash modding even after kernel it will be on its first steps like texture moddding and music and probably some simple stuff, only in years/months we will be able to understand the entire game to do model importing and moveset editor to do those 2 characters.Look at how much time ssbb took after its modding began until we had model importing you will be amazed how much it took lol.
Well... First of all the libraries/system-functions need to be reverse engineered for getting a much greater knowledge about all of them.
THEN the other stuff is easier to achieve since function-calls to them are grasped by more coders.
It's not a necessary step but a (to a certain extend) important one! (And it's time consuming! 1MB doesn't sound like that much but when you have >262,144 ASM instructions in front of you, time flies! ;)

With the upcoming exploits, what can a typical end-user do with them? My System is on 5.3.2U, but is not connected to internet and my Modem/Router combo can't block IPs...
If you mean with "typical enduser" someone who doesn't know how to code then the answer is: Yes and No!
I'm sure with the kexploit someone's going to be releasing a few things that will be possible to do only with it (like file replacement) but most of that will only be music and texture swaps for a few weeks. The "very interesting" stuff will come later!
I think for most of the people getting more knowledge on the RPLs and their functions has priority! :P

With file replacement, does that also refer to the posibility of save trading?
 
Just a reminder, I enabled BFSTM and NUS3Bank downloading on Brawl Custom Music ages ago. The offline builder is finished for BFSTM, IDSP (to be injected into NUS3Bank), and G1L (Hyrule Warriors), and the source is located here. You will need dspadpcm.exe to make the mono .dsp files, which I will not supply. It can be found though. I want to rewrite the BrawlLib DSP ADPCM encoder so that it can be distributed on multiple platforms without much hassle.

I'm hoping the release of the 5.3.2 exploit will be enough motivation for more people to learn how to mod their games, and make them more enjoyable (offline). If anyone has anything music related they need done, get in touch with me since I may (have done)/(be working) on it already.

What can be done once exploits are out? What are you guys planning on doing/making?
for my,I planning learn basical language and mod mk8,smash and mp10.

for the first question,the principal thing you can do is:

moding
insert a new RAM in game
tcheating
remplace game files
and other...
