Just when I was about to play Wii Sports Resort, my Wii isn't working!!!!!!! Here is what happened. First, I got Wii Sports Resort. Then, I put the disc in. It told me to update my system, so I did. After that, the screen just went blank and it stayed like that. So, after a couple minutes, I turned my Wii back on. Then the screen was still blank, and my Wii was making no noise. I checked everything, over and over again, and turned it off and on multiple times, but nothing happened.

Please help!

I had 3.2 before, and I don't have any brick protection for my Wii. I have the retail version of WSR(American), and I have hbc for my wii. Any help?

Updates: My TV shows a blank screen, but there are some moving lines in the black screen. Do you have any solutions? I'm going to try to move it, to see if it is my TV. But first, I might leave it overnight to see if it works tommorrow. If it doesn't, I'll move it. I can turn the Wii on with the Wii Remote, but I can't turn it off with the Wii Remote. When there is no disc inserted in the Wii, the DVD drive makes a noise for around a second, then stops. And when I put a Wii game inside when it is off, it makes the normal sound. But when I put the disc inside when it is on, it does nothing. And I have to restart my Wii.

My TV is an Insignia 26 inch HDTV, if anyone wants to know that. And I have third-party component cables. So, hopefully, it can work. In the meantime, please suggest solutions to this problem, and please HELP!!!!!

Did you by chance downgrade to 3.2? does the Wii power light turn on, and then try to spin up a disc and nothing else happens? sounds similar to my brick a week or so ago...

Yeah, that's it. I really hope there is a solution to this brick. But when I put a disc in when it is off, it turns on, spins the disc, but there is still a blank screen.

try that. unscrew the GC controller to make it easy to press UP,Down,Left and right at the same time. hopefully this works. next time get at least preloader

Do you HAVE to unscrew the controller? And there is no other way of fixing it? (I don't have BootMii)

You don't need to unscrew the controller. Well, it's harder if you don't unscrew the controller but it works. But it can hurt. xD Press Up, Down, Left and Right on the D-Pad VERY HARD! If it works, then you should see your Wii version in the right side. And maybe you can fix your Wii!

Ok, I'll try to do that. But if that won't work, then I would have to send it in to Nintendo, right?

That's the brutal, honest truth of the thing. Is your wii still under warranty? I sent mine in, and they sent me a refurbished wii under warranty. takes about a week and a half in the states. it sucks, but at least you'll have a working wii. also, i'm not sure if the savemiifrii works in this scenario, i tried it to no avail. i've heard the dongle may work, but again, i'm not sure as i didn't have one to test it with.

I'm guessing no, since I bought it around March-April 2007. But will they find out I had homebrew on it?

Well yeah they might. But who cares? unless you have your sd card in and it has backups on it,or a partion with games on it, then your in big trouble. So make sure ya take your SD or USB out of course.

Im just saying..that modifieing your wii is NOT illegal unless you have backups on it and you don;t have the original disc.

Yes, but maybe you can not repair your Wii. But you can always lie to Nintendo! xD Just tell Nintendo that an update went wrong on your Wii and can not start your Wii anymore. And it is true! xD So I do not think you have to lie! xD

I hope you can fix it!

Does somebody have a yes or no answer to this question?

I deleted the HBC off the menu and sent mine in for an artifact problem and they sent me a new one. They never mentioned anything about it being on there. they even saved my settings for the shop channel to the new one. Nintendo support was awesome....it wasnt even under warranty anymore and they did it for free!
