Hey guys, I'm running 4.1U with a Wii that has been hacked with PreLoader, HBC and NeoGamma.
I was wondering if it was still safe for me to use the Wii Shop Channel to purchase games, or download the update to my Internet Channel (which is legit).

It's still safe, so long as you haven't been mucking around with alternate regions for the shop.

You may find that the Shop is not correctly updated when you try to access it; if that's the case, use WiiSCU to download the newest Shop update and IOS 61. http://wiibrew.org/wiki/WiiSCU

Well, I only hacked it yesterday, and it was a virgin up until then, so I think the Wii shop was already updated, unless installing one of those things affected it in anyway.
Would they have?
I'm still trying to understand a lot of this stuff.

If you upgrade your system menu using a non-official method (such as the Waninkoko 4.1 updater), you'll need to install the shop manually. It sounds like you won't need to though, so go for it.

The Big N personally does not care that you have homebrew installed and the shop channel will not omgbanz0r you or anything.
