Hello, I have recently bought a broken Wii off of ebay for about 20 bucks and ive been trying to fix it for the past week. Im using both the original power supply and the original audio and video output thingy from another Wii. It won't show any picture (I don't know if it shows a black screen or no picture at all, but I'm pretty sure it does not show any picture) but is able to play the Wii startup music after about a minute of being turned on. I was able to connect a Wii remote and blindly click on one of the apps and scroll through all of the apps and I didn't hear the homebrew channel jingle, so its most likely a unmodded Wii. Ive tried it on multiple different tvs as well as replacing the wifi modular, but to no avail. If anyone has any suggestions, please tell me.

Thank you.

Nothing is wrong with the video cables, I tested them on another wii and they worked fine.

i remember an user called MattKC also fixed a similar issue.
it has something with the capacitors.

@BiggieCheese420 The TV detects any signal? Or no signal at all?
No signal at all, I think.

I didn't think about that video because I didnt think it would help my problem, or so I thought. Thanks for posting it here and making me watch the video, I might try something like that if nothing else works. Does anyone know where to buy a good voltage tester and soldering iron kit? Preferably a cheaper one.

I have checked all of the electrolyte compactors and they work as intended (I think, I am still pretty new to electronics). I tested the video output again and it defiantly shows no picture. Does the wii show anything when it is set to component video and is connected with composite video cables? This is the last thing I can think of whats wrong with it.

I replaced one of the capacitors that the video goes directly out of and no change. I would replace the rest but I don't think it would be worth it. Possibly its the resistor that the video goes right out of the chip, maybe? It measured 78.1 ohms, I think, i'm still real new to electronics.
