anybody have a link to what Attack of the Show aired?
here
The narrator annoyed me. Also disliked the emphasis on "FREE FREE FREE" (even though I do play Snes roms on it, I don't pirate Wii games.)

OK Guys, I can confirm that you can't install shit for shit.

Luckly I didn't upgrade my Boot2 or I would of been doomed and had to wait for another installer release.

I installed everything new from ChangeLog and in fact:

BannerBomb doesn't work
HBC is Deleted
SSBB Exploit works
Used LoadMii to load various apps like:
Trucha Bug Restorer (can't downgrade IOS15, we should of known)
cIOS38Rev14 (since the new stubs, no wiimote connection and of course, can't do shit)
HackMii Installers 0.3 and 0.4Test (NADA!!!)
WAD Manager........ Well, you can't install anything.

The only thing I didn't install of the new update was Boot2v4, so I'll be doing a NAND Restore soon since I can't hack my Wii in othermeans.

I think what we need is either a new HackMii Installer or Trucha Bug Restorer that will crack the newer IOS' and once you get 1, only 1 Bugged IOS, the rest is cake, and we can dongrade (I call it DOWNDATE) to 4.1 and corresponding IOS'.

I'll be back with the NAND Restore Results.

Cheers.
you just installed the SM wad and IOS wad's right?

I think he did. Although, he wouldn't be able to load BootMii as Boot2...

Try again, but this time don't install the IOS250 stub (as most seem to think it doesn't install). Then try using 250 to run the TBR to install a patched IOS36.

I seriously blame it on 'Attack of the Show' if they didn't make it so public then Nintendo's update would of just been features and not preventing piracy.

Do you really think Nintendo learns about this stuff from watching an American tech TV show?!? Get real...

Telling them (Nintendo) via this Topic what to do on a next update release. There are more then 300 people reading this Topic. 1 of them will sure be a Nintendo guy.

The update blocked my Wiikey 2, now it can't read backups but for some strange reason it reads Mario Tennis Wii verson but no other games.

According to Wiibrew.org, BootMii is gone for good due to boot2 being updated to boot2v4 similarly to LU64+ units.
Why do you say it's gone for good? It was my understanding that BootMii couldn't be installed on those because of them containing a fixed Boot1.

QUOTEWii Shop Channel has been blocked off until you update your system menu it looks like I can't shop anymore.

It still runs on IOS61 according to Wiibrew. Just use the app WiiSCU to update the Shop Channel.

WTF? I don't know this show, but why the hell do they show everyone how to hack the Wii "officially"? Was this really on TV? What a BS. In this case you're damn right. What did they think how Nintendo likes that? How can anyone be so stupid?

Besides that: Correct me if I'm wrong, but Nintendo is able to auto-update, right? Just able to...not doing it with 4.2 yet.

I said it's gone for good because wiibrew.org states that "BootMii will cease to exist" due to System 4.2
Not sure about the technical implications of that, but since LU64+ were always a pain in the ass with their boot2v4 I think it would take an extra mile to bring BootMii back (if at all possible)

That is probably because the other games have been trucha signed so they won't work because all IOS's have been updated with no trucha bug enabled.

yeah didnt they update their licent agreement to include the ability to auto-update.

Updating the license and adding the ability to auto-update are two different things.
