With WinHex you can edit the partition but if i want to program this first i would need to know where each GameID starts.

@JimmyG: Hmm that could be possible too i have my infos from wiibrew.org.
Code:
0x020 / 64 / Game title / though most docs claim it to be 0x400 the Wii only reads 0x44 which will be padded by the DI driver to 0x60

Can you see the whole Game Title !?

Hi everybody
i wrote a small Tool to rename the Gametitle from your games.
Edit:-if the newfilename is shorter the program fills the rest with "00"

Just wondering if it would be possible to also make it possible to change the ID in the Ticket for it to use a different save slot?

This would be really cool for the Guitar Hero type games...

What's your thought's on this, then it would be possible to use with the usb loader out there...

It's a long shot, but I'll try it anyway:
This app looks amazing: is there anybody out there who can port this to the mac?
(if not: is there any other way (without virtualisation of Windows etc) that I can rename these files on a Mac?)

I've taken this nice little piece of software and modified it to support CISO files (the compressed format created by hermes) as well.

You can download it here (source code is included).

Thanks goes to nIxx for the original code, I hope he doesn't mind I used / modified it.

All you need is a hex editor.
This info should help you determine what to edit.

Thanks to nIxx for starting it and you dude you improved it awesome

What kinda sux is if you try to edit it using wiiscrubber... like to make a New Super Mario Bros Wii Custom Game (or hack...) You'll have to rename the game id back to how it was...
and I never tried this... but...

If it's possible... If someone renamed a PAL game and the fourth letter was for NTSC... would that convert it? or no?

Ya know, if you use WBFS Manager 3.0 you can rename any game you put in it. Ofcourse this is only if you are using usb. Then again it may work if you load the iso rename then extract it again to pc before burning. Works 100% of the time.

I realize this thread is a few months old so hopefully this will still be seen ... but ...

nIxx, first off -- nice program, and thank you.
just a suggestion though, reset or set the gameID to null or current existing while opening an ISO. This will save time when renaming a lot of files.

Also as a request, I would like to see the source code out of curiosity sakes if you don't mind.

Could I use this to have two different save files for my Animal Crossing City Folk?

I can change game name showed in channels and message board playlog?
I want change game name, no iso name.
How I show japanese game names in playlog message board using USB Loader GX? Thanks.
