hmm if you rename gametitles with a hexeditor manually you have to fill the space with 00 if the new name is shorter than the original title.
could someone try to fill the space with 00 in this tool? maybe it uses the same procedure

So I want to rename "SPORTS PACK for REVOLUTION" into "Wii Sports"
But as a result I get "Wii SportsK for REVOLUTION"

When I fill the rest with spaces I get "Wii Sports "
So this is better, but it doesn't work anymore with the USB Loader.
I need a solution -.-

sooo don't use this yet?

Blayd,

did you test the last version ?
because nIxx is now padding the name with '00'

I wish I was closer to my wii to test that for you.

Oh thanks I will try it now

@Blayd: Yep don´t use spaces to fill the rest the program should do it for you.
If it still does not work please complain here

and i will take a look at it.
I had not much space free on my HDD´s so i could only test 3 ISO´s.

Uploaded a new version with GameID support.
To edit you will need to enter the GameID and Gametitle.
Downloadlink is in the first post.

First off..thank you for this tool. It is the best.

Secondly, is there a way to account for titles that go way beyond the so-called "limit"? When I rename "The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princ" to "Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" I get "Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princessess"

I can only imagine that "Zak and Wiki: The Quest for Barbaros' Treasure" would be even worse.

IMO, I believe it is possible, but then if the Wii (Or the USB Loader app) itself can only read a certain amount of characters, then applying that fix in this app now wouldn't matter.

Again, not sure though.

Funny, I actually just dumped it back to my pc to accomplish the same thing.
Or you could edit the title directly on the WBFS partition. Even very long titles work.

nIxx,

if I may add my 2 cents. that would be great if you could implement 2 things.

1. when loading an ISO the old values are not selectable. thus we have to copy everything (including the ID that we will rarely change)
could you (choose one of the following

)
a. make the old value selectable (as opposite to editable)
b. add one/two button to copy the old value to the new value
c. when loading the iso also enter the old value to the new value field, thus we will only need to edit the part we want

2. add a command line parameters option (would be great for batch files)
wiiisorename.exe -id -title

thank you so much for your efforts.

Unfortunatly it´s not possible. Actually the wii reads the game title from 0x20 - 0x44 then the DI driver pad to 0x60

It's not such a huge deal...in the sorting list USB loader doesn't even show as much as you can fit.
