Hacking Wii Game Language Patcher

changed the langauge on the jap version of Big Brain Academy, looks like everythings english but when enrolling the last few things the professor says are in japanese, but then its all english again, good game

I have tried to change the language on Super Monkey Ball (US) to English on a JPN wii, and the text is still Japanese, the website states that it works with additional ASM hack. Anybody have any success with ASM hack. Thanks.

I have tried WGLP on SMG, SSBB, FE, DBZ:BT3, Cooking Mama, and bomberman and they all works for me. Wiikey 1.9g, 3.2J

I tried the replacing language file(arc) method and works with a minor eye-candy issue.

I'm just wondering if WGLP works better/perfectly with no eye-candy issue...

Really? I had tried that a few days ago but the disc can't read. I just patch with WGLP, 3.2J wiikey1.9.

no, you can't patch smg j to display english since there is no english language in the iso.
But you can swap the language file from smg u to smg j, the downside is that sometimes the text bubbles is too small so spme text will be displayed outside the bubbles. there is a thread for the files.
Then if you don't want to waste your time dl/ smg u iso, just do the swap thing like me. I don't mind text glitch.

Can confirm that House of the dead 2 & 3 USA version works fine with English text using the same method as the Japanese version as outlined in the wglp v2 readme file (patching main.dol, hod2.dol and hod3.dol).

Can also confirm that Super monkey ball is now working with full English text & speech

@ RetunerS - Wicked news man, so all we need now is a new version of Trucha that can open Trauma centre: New blood and a few others, and we're pretty much set!

@ Koolfur - zexec is just the name of the folder that you can find the 2 .dol's in.

@ indokid - Make sure you use the latest version of wglp which is now on the first page of this thread. It definitely works - I tried it earlier
