Its the actual laws of computer science which detmine this:
A emulator uses up many many times more clock cycles can a pc when play a emulated game, because it has to translate / interpret the consoles every detail is makes something out of nothing essentially, emulation is great and even if the emulator does not work properly then its still useful. Yes you can hook your wii mote to a pc. Yes it would be great
But we can only dream if psx emuation is not completly perfected then get real if a fully supported wii emulator is going to pop up out of nowhere.
Maybe when we are all old and withered then one will show up then pcs can clock 2 terraflops. But at the moment the only perfect emulators are for the oldies like snes, genesis / mega drive / master sys and others of that nature.
IF nintendo went insane and gave away all of there console specifictions, instruction sets, game source code, offical developers kits, blueprints, testing models, digital signatures and all other secret stuff to the world then we would get a wii emulator faster. But what is the chance of that happening!
