Hello! I've been having this issue where whenever I connect the Component cables of my Wii, it shows video, but it doesn't make any sound. The component cables are third-party, but work perfectly fine in other TVs. I was wondering if there's any way to solve this other than replacing the TV or playing with composite cables. Thank you!

Edit: Forgot to say that the TV model is an LG 60PN5700-UA

Do you have anything else with a component output to try?

In particular try connecting the Wii's audio and the other product's video, maybe your display mutes the sound if it doesn't have a video signal it really likes - or maybe of course the audio ports/selector/preamp are busted...

I forgot to add that the TV actually does produce sound from the Wii, but it's very faint; even at max volume.
