wrong, i only just put the scrubbed version of SMG2 on my HDD yesterday, lol it was even it those pics i posted in the other thread
Does it go in a specific folder?

Don't just say I'm wrong.
Does what go in a specific folder, the games to be sent to the HDD or the games already on the HDD?

if you dont know how to use WBM i suggest you read the readme or FAQ in the OP, you simply select your HDD with there "Drive 1" or "Drive 2" tab, it doesnt matter what format it is in - WBFS,FAT32 or NTFS, then select the "Folder" tab - "Add", then select either "Files" or "Folder" to where the game/s are, tick the ticky box of the games you want to send to your HDD then select "Transfer" tab - "Drive 1/2"

You can also you the same as above to convert between formats from within the "Transfer" tab

I need some help. I just downloaded this backup manager, but it doesn't see any of the games on my hard drive. Most of the games I've ripped directly with my Wii, but when I load the drive in this manager it says something like "this is a valid drive but there is no WBFS folder. Create one now?" I clicked no, but it doesn't see any of the games already on the hard drive. What do I do?

is your HDD FAT32/NTFS ?
Do you have a WBFS folder at the root of the drive ?

when you ripped your games using the wii, maybe they went into
WBFS/gameid.wbfs

There are now more compatible format, you can make sub-folders with a game name for example.

in backup manager, go to Option -> Fat32/NTFS tab
change the storage convention to match the one you are using (all in the same folder, or using one subfolder per game)
Choose the Naming convention for your filename (Title [gameID]) for example.

You can check the "Automatically update storage convention when drive is mounted" to have WiiBackupManager to rename and move the wbfs files to their corresponding sub-folders.

ugh, I totally forgot that I had two partitions on that hard drive.. so I was opening the partition that was formatted for windows (not the one that I'd been using forever that was formatted the nintendo way) Thanks for your help, though

can this scrub isos?

ISOs are scrubbed by default and this can be changed in option menu (you choose to remove update partition, or keep or...
So if I move an unscrubbed iso from one drive to another with this utility it'll scrub it along the way?

Just a little suggestion/request for a future update of Wii Backup Manager:

When transferring to ISO or CISO, an option to include Game ID and Region in the filename would be most helpful. Perhaps they could be variables that the user can use in a filename mask. Something like this:

%GAMETITLE% (%REGION%) > Monster Lab (PAL).iso
[%GAMEID%] %GAMETITLE% (%REGION%) > [SZAE69] Rock Band 2 (NTSC).ciso

One other minor suggestion... when a colon ":" appears in a title, it is converted to a dash "-" when exported to a file so that:

Donkey Kong: Jet Race > Donkey Kong- Jet Race

It'd be a little more pleasing to the eye to convert the colon ":" to a space+dash " -" so that:

Donkey Kong: Jet Race > Donkey Kong - Jet Race

Anyway, that's just my $0.02. Thanks again for a great utility!

feature request...if possible can you implement a download cover feature. i think the pc would be much faster to do this than the wii. that would be awesome.

It was included in a previous and old version (There's some screenshot in this topic), then he removed it to work on the compatibility.
He said he will work on the cover version again when all will be working, but instead he left no news of himself

If your throat closes, putting oxygen in your mouth will not solve anything - as you will be introducing oxygen prior to the area of obstruction

You either need to be intubated to bypass obstruction or create a stoma inferior to the the area of obstruction to survive
