Installed CIOS that comes with downloader.

Then when i try to install dvdx by advanced settings the only option I have is IOS36, there is no IOS249 ??????

Any idea's, is this because i am using the old twilight hack, the one nintendo blocked with their update.
I did not update my wii, I am still running version 3.2E.
So do you think this why I cant see IOS249

IOS 249 is Waninkoko's custom IOS, if you haven't installed it, you won't find it on your Wii!

It's included in the loader package, install it with Waninkoko's WAD Manager.

if u installed the wad with the cios then open the dvdx .dol and select ADVANCED not normal then pres right or A and scroll to the cios249

Ya I think have done everything as I am supposed to,

I installed CIOS36_rev5-64-v1042.wad using the wad manager.

Then when I try to install dvdx using homebrew channel and select advanced all I see is CIOS36, There is no CIOS249

seeing all these comments on NTSC Boom Blox, just thought I'd mention that the PAL version is working fine on my PAL machine. The movie clips stutter like all hell, and it takes a while to load up, but once you're in it, the gameplay works perfectly

I'm pretty disappointed at this whole thing, it has become utter chaos from a simple beta loader and if I were Waninkoko I would throw this project to the garbage. But, I can't say I'm clean in this whole scene thingaling. So, I would like to read (if it isn't bothersome for them) from the real beta-testers (no, not you random reader #42 nor me), a full description of what this files are and what do they do?

Since there cannot be any Wii that has only IOS 36, I guess you just didn't try scrolling (press RIGHT or LEFT on the Wiimote).

Cheers,
Found it,
That was a real homor simpson moment, Doh,
Thanks man, will be able to try a game later, let u know how it goes

burned super mario galaxy ntsc on a different burner (my desktop nec instead of my laptop matshita), and it didn't work. i used phillips dvd+r, but i realized the problem was that the burner had set the disc type to dvd+r instead of dvd-rom, which can't be read by the dvd hack, so I got error -4100. i checked and saw that i have other burned phillips dvd+r that have the book type set to dvd-rom, so the problem was the burner. i shouldn't have changed, it didn't occur to me at the time, and i think there is no way to change the book type on a burned disc unless it's a rewritable and you erase it. the session was finalized anyway, so what's done is done.

tried to use nero disc speed to change disc booktype and drive booktype, but the only option it gave me was to change the dvd+r dl booktype to dvd-rom. i do wonder if the hacked firmware i installed to this drive to allow it rip dvds at full speed has caused this, but i doubt it.

Try to change the booktype with imgburn...

imgburn fails as well, stating error: invalid parameter.
ill just have 2 burn it again on the other drive, since I can't seem to change the booktype on this one.

I think i post it again because i need really help

Hello there,

i always become the message:

Could not open disc subsystem!

???

What i`ve done:

installed CIOS36_rev5-64-v1042.wad with the cIOS Installer
After that installed DVDx on IOS249

Then i go on my SD Card in APPS and maked a folder: Wii Backuploader
I putted the dvd-backup.dol in there and renamed it to boot.dol

Then i started the app but always this message occurs:
Could not open disc subsystem!

Whts wrong here.. i have NO Disc in the Wii because somebodys writing:

FOURTH
load the Backup Loader, THEN place your disc in the drive when prompted.

So where is the Problem here?

Put the disc in before you load the ISO Loader

isnt CIOS added as IOS249?

if thats true then wouldnt installing dvdx to ios249 replace it? or does it patch the cios?

You never know they may have planned to "leak it" for all we know. Allowing the majority to compile a working list for them in order to provide them with some useful data?

I get the impression that the offical version will still get released in a couple of weeks, this is a semi-ready version which I'm sure was leaked in order to establish if their are any bugs still not yet found by them..........and no doubt someone will find something glitchy with it.
