WORKS. Ntsc wii loading PAL backup of MK: Wii works pefectly. Though I have not tried it with standard cables, I am using a vga adapter.

Also, nintendo wifi is working in-game.

Ok i made my last attempt for the night >_<

Tried TLOZ: TP (NTSC game on NTSC console) this time burned at 1x... debug messages showed on screen, then a quick green flash and finally a black gray screen. Nothing from there on.

And seeing the other posts i agree that this loader only works on PAL.

A vga monitor can handle either resolution (with a converter of course) so unfortuantely this proves nothing. Component would be the test as that's what most people use.

1. do you only install this wad with the Cios installer or do you still need the other wad from a game?

2. what if you already have DVDx installed

How do you install this Cios thing in the first place? The one and only thing setting me back...

Get the Wad Manager (1.21), and follow the instructions, it's pretty easy.

So it cant just be a normal iso burned on a disc? Because I have heaps of normal backups at home and my modchip doesnt work anymore

With a converter, yes. Most vga only monitors can't natively displayed interlaced resolutions. Just progressive.

I'm using the high def cables, so not sure if that matters... but my NTSC games work on my NTSC wii on my NTSC LCD TV...

Tired Deca Sports NTSC (on a NTSC Wii) and it did not work, I got the

"Could not open disk subsystem ret--6"

Anybody know what this means? probably not lol.

And do you think this will work with Wii Scrubbed games>? Thanks

While this does work, the 3x drive speed means videos lag and loading time...well, sucks. There is a reason why this hasn't been offically released. Still very useful.
