Booooooobs......

Persoally I only really liked the first game even though it aged somewhat badly with its old controls.

Heres Gametrailer's videos on all the exclusive features.
http://www.gametrailers.com/game/5373.html

Pretty much she now has a Tool pack wich amounts to Zak and Wiki like minigameness. So you can brush dust off walls and turn rotating discs and the likr.

Theres also plenty of waggle for fights and grappling hook and the link.
I think theres also gun aiming aswell and the trend of locking to an enemy and aiming is also there.
Theres also a special dodge and aim move that lets you get in a good hit on enemies for one shot kills or something.

I kinda like what I see.
Worth atleast I try I think.

WORK ON WII PAL 3.1E with wiikey 1.9g i used brickblocker and wiiregionfree and work in FR on my wii
biggrin.gif

Im still puzzled why ppl with Wiikey use regionfree...who originated the idiocracy? Can it be traversed back and maybe corrected?

Anywho...trying the game out tonight Ill write some shit about it then

Well, I don't regionfree-patch my DVD myself, but I think there is some very little usefulness : they can lend there games to friends with other modchips. ^^
ummm why not just burn them a copy if it's a copied game...who the hell lends burnt dvd's!?

I played through the game on the PC and loved it. It's a cool modern update to the original where the focus was more on the puzzles, exploring and general tomb raiding-ness. The Wii version looks closer to a port of the PS2 version with the lower resolution and muddier look compared to the clean sharp look on PC. Controls seem to work okay but camera control can get wonky in places. I'll probably play through it again on Wii to experience the extra waggley fun.

Does it use the old TR1 style jump where you had to walk to the edge, step back and then run and jump?

The PC version used the newer Analog controls like most 3D games these days.
Point the stick in the direction you wanna go.
Spin it in circles to make the charector run around like an idoit.

Would have been nice to use a tank control option for jump setting up, but its not really needed.

Thanks for the videos jalaneme.
Graphic wise, the game does'nt look bad to me.
Just lacking all the fancy filters and crap.

I might go ahead and buy this after the end of the year when the price gets cut a bit.

Still, a retro crap 3D version with better controls would have been a nice extra to see xD

Spoke to Tom Fulp the other day, if he can find his old Newgrounds site content like the mini Flash animations from the 2000's that played on the portal.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
So far no response, but he did say that he'll find them. Wayback Machine doesn't have em.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, atleast the 1999 versión of pico's school is avaliable (the difference between it, the 2006 versión and the 2016 versión is that the speed of the game depends of the speed of your computer and that it had the og soundtrack)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Another being Pico VS Bear, the original 1999 version before Jim Henson filed a DMCA takedown.

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
The 2006 versión was made when the flash portal was made
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Many people thought it was lost, but was discovered that he hid it on the same page.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, although the "secrets" system where the game was has been removed. Also pico vs uberkids had a netplay versión that was shutdown, although the swf file has been found
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Nope. There are two download buttons on the same page, where you can download the original under a file called "bear.exe". "bear2.exe", however, is the updated game in a Flash projector. P.s. this was on the archived Pico page from 2000.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's been there for a long time, too. People who search for lost media don't look hard enough lmao.

@SylverReZ, also the pico 2 demos used to be only for the newgrounds patrons but they are on internet archive too (https://archive.org/download/picos_school_2)

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
Iirc the demos were removed from newgrounds in 2022
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, or well only the demo with mindchamber's style was on newgrounds

Fun fact @SylverReZ: iirc one of the goals on the fnf Kickstarter stated that pico 2 would be finished but the Kickstarter didnt get enough money for that goal to be fullfiled
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, FNF sucks, their community is toxic as hell.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@SylverReZ its a single player game
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@The Real Jdbye, Yea but it has a shitton of mods with their own songs and stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@The Real Jdbye, and quite a lot of people involved in those mods get cancelled
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Newgrounds wasn't the birth of FNF; rather, it was games where you beat up celebrities and parodies.
