i played this game at TGS, and its awsome. the moves you do are like how they anime does it. you point at where you want your kekkaishi and then flick the wrist up to make it. you slash down to explode the barrier. its exactly like the anime. watch it before playing the game.

*edit*
thats not a sword. its a a staff with a blade on it.

Don't mean to be pedantic but that's a scythe

The dude in the cover would be holding something more along the lines of a halberd. Mmm weapons... Anyway, the game appears to be an uninspired generic anime game appealing to fans only.

Does this release work on NTSC-U consoles? And for those who have played the game (Delta123), is it fairly playable without knowledge of the Language? Is there any English?

So...Yes, it does work on NTSC-U (Wiikey).

Are there any other gameplay mechanics besides capturing enemies in boxes and then destroying them?

This game really sucks if there's nothing else to it. I've played for a little over an hour, and have only been able to use the same move over and over. VERY repetitious if I'm not missing something.

This experience is with 0 knowledge of the Japanese language....and I know nothing about the anime.

anyone have any idea on how to save this game?

When you first start the game it asks if you want to create a save file (left box for yes). Then it autosaves after each chapter in the story mode. I gave it a test on some new media I got and its alright. Nothing special. Like supo says its just based around the same battle mechanic of trapping enemies in barriers.. rinse and repeat. The waggle works ok and it looks nice and clean like most cell shaded anime titles do. I'd say its just about playable if you don't understand the language but you get more out of it if you do. There are lots of cutscenes and story stuff.. but if you follow the anime I guess you have some idea whats going on.

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Booo.

same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.

There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.

Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
